^Well, no, of course it wasn't meant to be another timeline. It's just that it was written before the show premiered, based only on the series bible and a few early scripts, so its interpretation of what TNG would be was a little off. The alternate-timeline thing is just my way of rationalizing the things that seem off.

I blasted through JJM's TNG:Takedown, and as I'm currently waiting for the third Rise of the Federation book, I've picked up Chuck Klosterman's "I Wear The Black Hat"

I finished Star Trek: Savage Trade by Tony Daniel. I thought it was okay, not bad, but not great. I enjoyed the author's previous Trek novel, Devil's Bargain, much more.

I'm currently reading Luther: The Calling by Neil Cross.

I finished up SW: Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor. Really enjoyed it.
For the first time in a while I've decided to read just one book at time, so all I'm reading now is STTNG: Cold Equations Book III: The Body Electric.
Well, that and the Star Wars Readers Companion, but since I'm not reading that cover to cover I don't really count it.

Just finished Typhon Pact: Seize the Fire. It wasn't terrible by any means, it just started dragging in the middle of the book.
I started the next book in the series, Rough Beasts of Empire, this morning. I notice Benjamin Sisko is in this, very much alive. I've not read all of the earlier post-DS9 books. I don't know how lost i'll be, since the last time i saw Sisko, he joined the prophets. So i'm just diving in anyways.

Ah, thanks for the tip. I started my read through with this site: http://startreklitverse.yolasite.com/simple-post-nemesis-reading-list.php so i started with Death in Winter, and have moved forward from there with his simple Post-Nemesis reading list. I'm hoping to be caught up on everything excluding Voyager, which i then plan to get caught up on, once Atonement comes out later this year.

The highlight was the Ender's Game series, especially 'Speaker for the Dead' and 'Xenocide'. They didn't have 'Children of the Mind' but it's on my list of stuff to read now that I have access to my Kindle again. I was a 'Hunger Games' holdout, because I'm not a teenage girl, but Stephen King's positive review on the back sold me and I ended up really liking it and want to finish the series.

Posted my review of the e-book novella Shadow of the Machine by Scott Harrison.

Right now, I'm finishing up Bajor: Fragments and Omens by J. Noah Kym. Going to start the audio book version of Max Brooks' World War Z soon. I'm told the production is pretty amazing, I'm really looking forward to listening!

While ENT is not my cup of tea, I enjoyed "No time like the Past". I will re-read the German version, which is scheduled for next year.

^I don't think of Rise of the Federation as being strictly Enterprise. It has that label for branding purposes, and it does focus largely on ENT characters, but in my mind, it's really Star Trek: Rise of the Federation, and is as much about laying the foundations for the TOS era and beyond as it is about continuing ENT.

I'll admit it, i never watched much of Enterprise. I've watched a few episodes here and there on Netflix, but just not my thing. However, i really love your writing work, Christopher. So if you say its easy to jump into, despite not being familiar with the tv series, but more as an overall prequel to the original TOS, i'm much more willing to jump in, starting with your first ROTF book.

Well, that's my hope, at least. Sure, the main characters in ROTF do have a past that informs their actions, but you could say the same about Pike in "The Cage," or Sisko, Kira, and the rest in "Emissary."

Maybe I will give it a shot one day, hopefully before the paperbacks are out of stock.

You make it sound quite interesting, and I´m fond of history.

There won´t be any German ENT novels any time soon due to low number of sales. So many of us German fans resort to the originals.
