These are the Voyages

And Riker molesting T'Pol.
bleah.gif

If you're referring to the quick peck on the cheek Riker gave HOLOGRAM of T'Pol, that's hardly "molesting". T'Pol wasn't even actually there.

And while I agree there are better episodes than TATV, it's important to remember that this is the episode where Trip died. For THAT alone TATV should be remembered as an instant classic.

And that is an appropriate term given that this sounds like one of those poor substitutes for actual coffee, that taste like dirt.

His death was horribly lame and unnecessary though.

I'm good with heroic deaths, and I'm good with the occasional utterly meaningless death as a way of reminding us that not everyone gets to have a death that serves some sort of purpose, but Trip's death sequence was just...

...actually, I'm reminded of Frank Grimes from The Simpsons.

It is classic for that. But not in the way you're interpreting the word.

I picture the B's chortling over killing him off.

B&B: "Ah-haaa, so those ungrateful fans like Trip best, do they? Wait until we unleash the Totally Unnecessary Beloved Character Death Scene! Mua-ha-ha! Mua-ha-ha-ha! Mua-ha-ha-ha-haaaa!"

Archer's dress uniform onesie at the end was atrocious. The ENT dress unis with the shirts looked great, it's a shame someone decided Archer should resemble a space age waiter at the most important moment in the history of the universe.

A classic what though, that is the question. Just because you can label something as a classic doesn't automatically follow it will be good. i.e that is a classic example of a failure.

And his every day uniform makes him look like a gas station attendant.

A sexy, sexy gas station attendant ;)

The opposite is true.

I rewatched this last night and one of the biggest annoyances for me was the opening shot of the Enterprise-D. The stars were moving far too quickly, it didn't look like a TNG visual whatsoever. Marina Sirtis' accent was all over the place too.

The whole show was ridiculous .Everyone acted out of character the show was a hot mess. The Tng old dress uniforms jackets were ugly.I thought they were too long and none of the crewmembers looked good wearing them. That and the male miniskirt uniform from the first Tng episode.

:techman:
And it just occurred to me, that wasn't the reasoning behind this episode was that it was a "send off" or "valentine to the fans" (ugh) or whatnot? To celebrate the ending of the series? So..why did they not have crossovers with DS9 or Voyager? And they didn't even use the whole cast of TNG, just Frakes and Sirtis (and a Spiner voiceover)..? Yea , no one acted in character..and not too much of an emotional reaction to the death of a main character.
