Worst characters in each series

If I have to choose just one from each cast:

TOS
-Matt Decker

I thought William Windom was flat awesome as Matt Decker in "The Doomsday Machine".

I hated his character though. Another candidate would be Charlie X. I can't list any of the main characters as "annoying."

Really? Both of these guys had obsessions that could turn into a problem.

Yes and they are the linchpins the episodes are built on. You're not supposed to like them, unlike Wesley or Neelix.

No kidding. Gorgon the Friendly Angel (Marvin Belli), from "And the Children Shall Lead", comes immediately to mind.

I'm sure I could name quite a few characters that are more annoying than Decker and Charlie Evans.

Those are all honorable mentions, but obsession turning dangerous wins out for me.

Decker and even Charlie are more tragic than annoying. Annoying just doesn't seem the right word to describe them. Annoying is that fly in the room. The guy in the seat next to you snoring. The car ahead of you going 40 MPH on the freeway.

That is just good drama.

Depends on who you ask. You got your "easymarks" like Neelix or Wesley. Your horrible castings like Belli as Gorgon.

Exactly youy can't really objectively say "this is the worst character in all of Star Trek!" It will always come down to individual taste I'm sure for every main character and a good chunk of the secondary ones and oneshots you will find someone who likes or even loves them.
Also "worst" by what criteria. The most annoying one? The one that makes you want to punch them the most? The one that was most inconsistently written? The one that was most ignored by the writers so that they hardly contributed anything to the show? The one that was the "worst" person? Or the one that you personally dislike the most?

Of course it would solve nothing. i just used it because Orphalesion had used before and i assume he didn't mean real punch he just wanted to explain person who is annoying
