The 100 - Season 2

Well, that went without saying, or Mia might even have been outright adopted.

Actually, after 5 generations in a mountain, and no context, do you think the Mountainmen understand/recognise ethnicity in relation to geography?

Contrasting pigmentation extremes like Africa vs Sweeden, even if they can't put it into words maybe, but Greek vs Italian would be totally beyond any of these people to recognize or articulate, and that's even including the grounders too, who probably murder anyone approaching their borders without an invitation, so they mostly don't know what anyone ten miles away looks, like god forbid half a world away.

That's right, the only thing Earth needs to truely become post racial is a nuclear war.

Speaking of Raven's new beau, he was also on Hindsight last night, bedding another attractive actress even despite his ridiculous, 7th grade puberty 'stache.

That was a top episode, fantastic balance of the different streams. I guess on the other side of the lake are the solar panel people. Do you think the drone deliberately led them to the boat?

Is Clarke the only blonde the grounders have seen?

Nice to see a lead in a LGBT scene in a TV series. I hope they develop the character further along that line. I can only remember Torchwood as the only other sci fi show with a LGBT lead.

Sci fi shows have always lead the way in social progress. For example the interracial kiss scene in TOS.

I say the kissing was graphic because there was at least a cup of spit that fell out of their mouths while kissing.

Maybe I should have said that the kissing was "messy"?

They'd both need the world's last bottle of gatoraide after they'd lost so many fluids from that smooch.

Orphan Black?

Although, have you ever seen The Lair? It's about sexy gay vampires who run a gay strip club so that they can feed off the sexy gay clientèle.

Are we talking about the same episode? I know that some of you talk about the latest episode before it shows up on Netflix Canada, which is where I watch it.

My TV is massive.

At that moment (for me) Lexa and Clarke were twice real size.

Is this some sorta leftover wish fulfilment never wrung out of Smallville?

10 fricking years where Clark Kent and Lex Luthor didn't make out.

Oh Emoborg, Amanda Tapping made out with a girl on one of the final episodes of Sanctuary.

Good times. :)

Yes, but your fetish for 40something year old women is about as sexist as the rest of the world's fetish for 20something year old women.

(I really must get my 30something DVD's down from the top shelf and resume my rewatch.)

Of course on The 100 these are nearly children, Clarke is 17?

The commander is just too meh for me to care, still not won over by anything about her. Acting is dull.

Octavia is still my favorite character.

Is that because you can hear her real Australian accent struggling to break free under that fake yank speak?

It seems she was part of a scouting sortie of Australian actors trying to break into Hollywood last year during pilot season.

It seems she did well?

Oh, she's going to be in at least the pilot of the Walking Dead spinoff later this year.

Clarke should be 18 by now. As I recall from the first episode, she was shocked to be hauled out of her cell, because she still had a month or 6 weeks or somesuch before her 18th birthday.

I wish they'd get that stupid gear-shaped thing off the commander's forehead. It reminds me of some steampunk doodads I have among my craft supplies.

I get the impression that Octavia doesn't really consider herself part of the "Sky People" anymore. Of course that would be understandable anyway, given that they wanted to kill her just for existing.

Sadly i have not seen those shows. Work and travel takes up most of my time nowdays. I do wish i had more time for TV.

Sorry.

Never watch the Lair.

It's e-grade entertainment.

Orphan Black on the other hand is genius.

Agree with you on the acting, but her skin is luminescent. Somehow, we never heard about the dermatological benefits of living on Earth 100 years after a nuclear apocalypse when I was in school.

But that is the holy reincarnation wheel of the grounder clan!

She looks great in the face paint.
