Can Q be stopped?

Didn't Q tell them that they weren't ready for the Borg? That's why he didn't want them to engage with them. He knew they couldn't hold their own against the Borg.

It's dumb luck that they managed to even survive the borg, let alone beat them.

Picard/Locutus: Sleep Data, sleep...

Beverly: He's exhausted.

Picard/Locutus: Beverly, shut... up! :guffaw:

Where Q is concerned, the best you can hope for is a moral or symbolic victory. You pass his test or show where he underestimated you, etc.

What about "the Q gambit" where Q is afraid his race will cease to exist? I can't locate the plot but could someone spoil that for me?

Don't ruin the ending or anything, but what is Q afraid of?

They're afraid that humanity will surpass them.

Pah-Wraiths.. I bought the comic today for 2 bucks Lol. Star Trek #40

Spoiler:
Q also states he is not omniscient in his home dimension. Food for thought

So I'm going to task you with something. If you had infinite galactic resources, the compliance of all races and plenty of time to prepare. Could you come up with a plan to stop Q that doesn't involve any other Q?

Any replies are much appreciated.
I love the way the OP thinks. This is a seriously cool thread.

In his "home dimension" Q can be killed by a bullet, as seen in The Q And The Grey.

I think it would then be theoretically possible to tap into his dimension and blow up their home world...

A "bullet" made by the Q. The whole Civil War was just so that the humans could understand the Continuum.

As for enlisting the help of other entities on or or above the level of the Q, wouldn't that cause more problems? The Q Civil War was causing super novas, how would a battle or war between entities to stop the Q damage the Universe? And would or even could the victors undo the damage?

Maybe Q is like superman, he only has powers outside of his home-... place.

Yeah, it obviously wasn't a literal bullet...no more than the Q Continuum was a road in a desert with an abandoned gas station next to it. That's just what the humans see. What all these things really are, is incomprehensible.

Still, we saw that if a human being, eg Paris, gets his hands on one of these Q guns, he can kill a Q with it. That means that you don't need to be a Q to kill a Q.

Because Paris was using the weapon of a Q, in a form understandable to human beings. If that hadn't been made available and they had not entered the Continuum, a human certainly wouldn't be killing a Q.

But female Q gave them the recipe to entering the Q continuum. Assuming Paris had kept his gun and got it through Q customs, he could come back and kill some Qs.

It's a figment that only exists there. I seriously doubt Voyager or any aother Federation ship can re-enter; the Q can do anything in the universe with a thought, I seriously doubt they can't change the "locks" to the "door".

Quinn the suicidal Q said that it's only an appearance of omnipotence. Like maybe some well-hidden superior technology.
