Well, no, neither would I but there was some closure/resolution at least.
Although, as a full fledged prophet still remembering his previous human state, Sisko could probably put a curse on Picard and there's nothing that the latter could do.
I think Emissary is the best post-TOS pilot by a longshot, and possibly my favorite 2-hour segment of any series besides BOBW (which this serves as a sequel to) and Menagarie. In fact, even if this was a stand alone Star Trek TV movie, it would have been awesome. I put it above all the TNG films...except I'll call it "even" with FC
Great character arc for Sisko, very interesting sci-fi concepts, outstanding production values and beautiful direction make this a fantastic 2-hours of Trek entertainment.

He could put Picard under Admiral Janeway's authority and give him a snotty doppelgänger.
I just finished Season 1 of DS9 and I really enjoyed the season.
I've heard/read that it's not a great season, but I thought it laid some nice groundwork for potential characterization and growth.
I though they established the Siskos, Kira, Odo, Quark and the Obriens very well (and their relationships). Dax is hot and cold as a character, and Bashir needs some work, but I like them all.
I also really like how they established the Bajorans, Cardassians and the Prophets.
I wish we had seen more of Kai Opaka, since I really enjoyed her two appearances. Vedak Winn and Bareil are also interesting characters. I liked the old Bajoran guy from the pilot who said, "Another time perhaps." He seemed interesting and would've liked to have seen more of him.
Can't wait for Gul Dukhat and more Garak.
And despite its reputation as an average Trek season, I thought there were some treasures here. I loved the Tosk episode, the pilot, and the Brian Keith episode. Wish we had seen that Brian Keith character again, but I know Keith committed suicide not too long afterwards.
Overall, it wasn't I guess what I'd call an explosive season, but it was a good one.
