How is Janeway sexy? (Part II)

I just admired the way you described the feeling, I thought it was especially artistic. Absolutely no reflection on sexual preference, reason for it, or anything related - I just thought it was a well-written sentiment.

For example, my room mate is currently writing a novel that includes a Vietnam war vet. She isn't a Vietnam war vet, but she would like to include the character in the story and be accurate in describing his emotions, and write him as a relateable character. So, she did research about the topic, the feelings surrounding it, interviewed a couple people that had served in that war, etc.

We will see whether she succeeded or not when the novel gets published.

There's nothing wrong with being interested in personal experiences and emotions that you do not or can not share in order to write more believable characters.

And really it makes you a better person. You can empathize if you at least understand, and for some experiences you have to really work at it to understand like the one you mention. Sometimes people close themselves off so they can't empathize or relate unless they've been through the same thing, really we are broader than that.

I certainly don't think it makes you worse for trying.

To relate this back to Voyager, this reminds me of Seven's deal....she's forced to empathize with a lot of life experiences she hasn't actually gone through, and shuts them out once she becomes an 'individual' again. Makes me wonder if it's a metaphor for something I can't quite put into words at 1am.

She already knows the novel will be published? Wow, I am impressed!

I notice straight women seem to like her though

Always a bad sign

Hey! Lesbians like her too.

At least, I can't be the only one.

And yep, sex is totally a part of sexy. It's not just sex however.

Which doesn't really add anything to the conversation. About as much thought as I can come up with tonight though. Maybe I'll try and add something more substantial tomorrow (or not).

I still say it's all a bit sexless. This thread promised me so much and then cruelly snatched it away. It's like being invited to a sleepover by a group of adult women and they put on lingerie and start giggling and frolicking (the occasional pillow fight breaks out of course) but then it turns out that they just want to cuddle

I feel my brief sojourn into this thread was a foolish mistake

I must away, into the night

Final revision stage, but the manuscript's already been accepted. It's her second book. And I am impressed too, she is an inspiration to me when it comes to my own writing, just by seeing how hard she works on it, although part of me wishes she'd spend a little more time at a 'real' job so I could sleep later. She is a VERY loud typer and her office is like 5 feet from my head on the other side of the wall.

Sorry for the digression, teacake, various Janeways, et al.

Okay he's gone ladies.

Bring out the good stuff!!

A picture of you, Catarina, Jazamul, Janewayrulz and Janeway's girl having a pillow fight in your lingerie?

That's how I picture you guys anyway so you might as well

What exactly were you hoping for in a Janeway thread? Where you said you wouldn't kick her out of bed but...

One of us to recite any lesbian fantasies with Kate? Btw, not being sarcastic here. Just asking.

Well, my congratulations to her then.

In the great tradition of Voyager Hux came, intrigued by the premise, and then decided it was really all about unmet expectations and lost potential.

What he wanted was this:

What we gave him was this:

But all he saw through the haze of his unfulfilled desires was this:

I'm the guy in the bed.

CONFESSION I HAVE BEEN MISLEADING YOU ALL, ALL THESE YEARS AND I'M REALLY..

eh, fuckit... even I can't pull that one off.

I'm way too nerdy to have a pillow fight, I'm on my phone out of camera range trying not to be disdainful of other people's fun. You go girls *cough*
