Star Trek Continues, Episode 4...

A tall order, but could they possibly pull $44,000 in the remaining 29 hours?

They've got Eps. 5 and 6 covered, the engineering set and the planet set. Could they possibly cover Ep. 7 as well this time around? It would be an impressive feat.

It's a tribute to the skill of the STC team and, to a lesser extent, the explosion of technology, that they can produce an episode at the quality standards they've established for $50K.

They've done amazingly well, but I think $40,000 squeezed into the last 21 hours is too much to hope for.

An in depth interview with Michele and Chris on After Buzz TV.

Michele is such an amazing spokesperson, her enthusiasm is infectious. Chris related some of his experiences with Simon Pegg and on the JJ films sets and some additional stuff about his dad. Some exciting news is that a trailer for Episode 4 was shown at Gallifrey One! I hope it's released to the public soon.

I updated my post , it was at 49:30 of the interview when she mentions that they showed the episode 4 teaser. I wasn't at the con and I didn't see it but maybe someone who was there can post? .

It's possible that the STC folks could release the trailer online in the coming weeks to generate more buzz. If we follow precedent we'll start to hear tidbits in interviews as well as see an episode poster released.

They've got only 14 hours left to collect $34,000 and change for the third stretch goal.

There are still more than 500 backers missing from their first Kirkstarter. What are they waiting for... last-minute perks?

If those 500 gave an average of $68-$70 each they'd cover getting to $225,000 and STC could film Ep. 7 without starting another Kickstarter.

There's also the fact that even after Kickstarter 2.0 closes folks could still donate through the STC homepage.

I could be wrong, of course, but why do I get the feeling that when I check their progress tomorrow morning they're going to be a lot closer to their goal?

I also can't help but reflect on a comment Michelle Specht has made in more than one interview. Something to the effect that if it were possible to have the funding they would be happy to put out an episode once a month.

I gotta admit that would be rather cool.

That would be very impressive indeed - but I highly doubt it - since they claim they do not get paid you have to have some solid cash to not have to work - and that would not only go for the actors but for all the people in post production.

Only 3 hours to go and they're just shy of 200k. It doesn't look like they're going to make it. I wonder how many vignettes they can make for 25K? It would be nice to see at least one, but they said they'll invest it in upgrading the current sets and equipment.

They're over 206K now with only two hours to go.

It's still a remarkable run. They started modestly by aiming to fund two episode (5 and 6) and then stretched for the engineering and planet sets. They did it with a bit extra. I think they did very well.

Besides the engineering and planet sets, I hope they have made room for custom built sets for off-ship interiors.

12k to go in 20 minutes.
