Star Trek Continues, Episode 4...

They would like to afford a planet set, but they're $20,000 away from that stretch goal with only three days to go. It would have to be an incredible push to reach that in three days and I don't think they'll do it this time around.

They will be close. Kickstarter knows what the average rate of people who pledge but don't pay is. I wonder if that percentage has been different for Trek-related projects.

A new APOTA vid is up. Pretty cool because it is addressing the current KS status. They must have recorded different takes for a variety of scenarios because it doesn't look like it was just thrown together in the last couple of days. They could have recorded something generic, but they tend to go above and beyond.

Yeah, they probably did different versions.

There's a short testimonial from Chris Doohan up now. And they've passed $157,000.

Impressive. They have only to pick up less than six grand over the last two days. That's an incredible change of pace.

44 hours and they've cut that in half. Planet is going today. Only question is, will the pace pick up enough to add another episode? :techman:

They'll probably get their planet set this evening with only 300 bucks to go.

That's an impressive final stretch push.

Yep, it's a done deal. I admit a few days ago I was skeptical, but they pulled it off. $175,000 and climbing.

Wouldn't it be a kick in the head if they actually managed to get to $225K in the last forty hours?

Neat Michelle Specht interview: http://trekgeeks.com/archives/2207

It was a pretty good interview. There wasn't much revealed about Episode 4 except that the personal issue involves Kirk directly rather than some other crew member. I was actually thinking it was Uhura because the guest stars are mostly women.

It was also interesting to note that Vic shares the same management company as Shatner and many of the TNG cast and meet with them on occasion. The interviewers missed on opportunity to ask if Shatner has seen the production and what he thinks. (I doubt he has, though, since he doesn't watch his own episodes).
