The Wall Street Journal is reporting they heard from a source that Spidey will indeed appear in Civil War. Newsarama article. I know that was what most people have been assuming, but it's still nice to have unofficial confirmation.
Maybe he'll have a cameo sooner than that. It's probably too late for a post-credits tease in Age of Ultron, but there's time for Ant-Man.
Though what I'm really hoping for the reveal of the new actor is to have him show up in the final issue of the Spider-Verse series.
Throw in a stake through the heart and I'll second this.I'm glad Garfield is gone. Plans for the Sinister 6 movie should just die as that film was rooted in TASM2, all ties, chopped up burned, ground and ashes spread to the wind. Done.

If they're going a "light reboot" / "implied continuity" direction, I think they'd be more likely to indirectly reference elements from the Raimi films, which more people saw and liked.
Yeah! Maybe Andrew Garfield Spider-Man hung up his suit in his grief after Gwen's death and let it sit because Iron Man then emerged. After all, Garfield is 31 right now, but The Amazing Spider-Man 2 took place not long after Peter and Gwen's high school graduation. If Spider-Man's appearance in Civil War is much more than a cameo, then maybe it'll be something like the comic book version - in which case we're probably looking at our hyphenated hero as an established superhero, in his thirties or late twenties. Garfield or Maguire could fit in nicely. (In the former's case, his origin could be retconned into being a few years before Iron Man and the Hulk showed up.)
