Voyager memories

I think it was her weight and bad make up. (Not the hag make up. Her younger self in the same episode)

Make up can age you. Look at Kate's early ninety stuff just before Janeway. Some are youthful, some are season one Janeway some look like season three Janeway. And on Voyager alone, Season five-seven Janeway looks rough compared to fresh faced season one - four make up. Make up can fool the eye for better or worse.

I feel personally insulted by that episode.
They deliberately spat in the faces of the Kes fans by coming up with that crap.

Why DID they change her makeup?

Surely "in the flesh" was more insulting to Kes. That episode undermined her enormously. Species 8472 turn out to be perfectly reasonable and lovely.......well who knew

She made a tiny mistake. They said: "The weak will not perish." and she didn't get the "not".;)

When they said: "Your Galaxy must be purged." it meant that they were going to give enemas to anyone who needed it.

I guess when it comes down to analysing that episode aside from genetic manipulation, how are they able to talk? and how convenient. Since kes was gone and all telepaths forgotten on the ship they had to do this plot point so they could communicate with Janeway. Again, a race that could take out the Borg is scared of puny humans? Nanoprobes were procured in the Delta quadrant and they knew that. So don't be sissies and conquer earth fluidic style with a single blast. Good thing they were reasonable and lovely. I was more confident than them that they could kick earth's ass.

True, and I don't think I'm ready to hit my 30's yet either.

I turned 33 today. Savor your twenties. They fly faster than your childhood, IMO.
"Savor the fruit of life, my young friends. It has a sweet taste when it is fresh from the vine. But don't live too long. The taste turns bitter after a time."

Boy, am I good at quoting things!;)

Happy birthday Catarina!

Hell if I know. Punishment? :-) Trying a new look? Vitiligo getting more pronounced? She has a skin pigment thing I've notice show up where she has patches that are brighter and maybe they had to cover it, but
doubt that.
She looked great in season four. So why all the dark shadow and crazy blush for awhile? (Not that it was bad always. Sometimes sultry :-) )Going for a more sullen look? I can only speculate. I'd ask Kate but after 20 years she is forgetting trivial stuff.

in the bathrub? was it like the Imax experience when the baby lizard scene happened?

Yeah. That makes sense. Different hairstyle, different makeup.

As coincidence has it, I was eating breakfast when I saw the pre-opening credits sequence to Flashback, for the first time that is.

I must remember always sitting in front of a TV. no baths, no meal, no distractions. it was late so I was done for the day.
