I read that each second of Super Bowl commercial airtime this year cost $150,000 to purchase, or the budget for 3 complete episodes of STC.

I had written to them about it, but never heard back. I could try again.Hey Warped9 did they ever let you back on their Facebook page? Did that whole mess ever get cleared up?
They may get a late spurt. A few people are saying things like they have to wait for their next paycheck, etc. It's going to be a sprint for them to reach their first stretch goal in order to build a Main Engineering set. With only 13 days left to go they'll have to average a bit over $1500 a day.
It'll be close.
If I won the lottery I'd help these folks out more. Mind you I wouldn't go nuts over it.

It's evident here I really like the show and I don't know if who runs their FB page is heavily involved in STC's production. Nonetheless I kicked in a little cash to the Kickstarters because I'd like to see them succeed.
There seem to be a couple of folks involved with STC posting here so I can always give input here or more directly through their email and if it matters it should get conveyed to them.
The shtick may return shortly. They originally announced a video every 5 days, but these "testimonials" are coming in between. They also seemed to have dropped the "Piece Of The Action" shtick in their videos. Hopefully that also clearly signals (to some) that they're not hinting at a gangster planet followup episode.
And so it has.The shtick may return shortly.
I feel more concern for the Valiant folks, honestly. Again -- there was never any doubt in my mind that Continues would reach its goal. But in 21 days, the Valiant GoFundMe hasn't even cracked half of the paltry $5,000 they were asking for. Maybe it's just a product of bad timing having both fan films doing their fundraising at nearly the same time. It's still a shame.
At the current rate, it looks like the Engine Room might be a go but I'm doubtful that the Planet Set can be funded this round, unless there are many donors waiting in the wings for a last minute rally.

I absolutely agree. I really hope Valiant can make it, but they have a high hill to climb.

I was briefly looking over the gofundme info and it looks like there are a couple of funding types, "Personal" or "All or Nothing". If they chose personal, there is no time limit, which might be good in this case. I would imagine there might be some overhead cost differences or stipulations which might make one more desirable over another, but as far as I can tell, no time limit has been posted for USS Valiant. (Of course the sooner it's funded, the sooner we get to see another great episode)
eta:
Upon further review, if it were time limited, it would say "Pledge Now", not "Donate Now", so at least time is not really a factor and it's not an All or Nothing situation, funds can be withdrawn and applied at any time.
