Actors You'd Like to See in Trek

In terms of bigger-name actors who may help the box office:

Tom Hanks would be quite a coup.

A few years ago, Daniel Craig said he wouldn't mind being in a "Star Trek" movie. I think Craig would make an interesting Vulcan.

Either Ben Stiller (a fan) or Ricky Gervais would be a neat choice for a Harry Mudd-type of villain.

I agree with King Daniel that Johnny Depp would work as a Q or Trelane type of character. Almost too on point, really.

Craig wanted to be Finnegan at one point, IIRC.

Stiller, Jack Black, and Gervais would have been amazing as Mudd, but Mudd was already dealt with before STID, so that's out (unless the Mudd in question was just the daughter of Mudd, and the real guy wants revenge?)

weird how only a few are mentioning women including me. some females I would like to see in trek.

Angelina Jolie (she is a diverse actress)

Ann Hathaway

Jennifer Lawrence

Emma Watson

The last three would be great, but Jolie has said that she wants to direct now rather than act.

Judi Dench as a high-ranking Vulcan like T'Pau. Or heck, maybe as T'Pau. Just a cameo would be nice.

Jodie Foster as a scientist who's either a protagonist or antagonist in the story.

And if the above skew too old, then Rosario Dawson (a Trek fan) however she can be worked in. Or Karen Gillan. Hey, if ST03 is going to mimic GOTG, then why not cast from that movie, too? Gillan would be an Andorian, of course.

As long as she's a redhead Andorian, sure.

Okay, I'll play . . ..

Christopher Lee (if his age allows).
Bill Nighy
Michael Sheen
Kate Beckinsale
Naveen Andrews (who was my first choice for Khan)
Lucy Lawless
Jaime Murray (as the new Borg Queen, maybe)
Tom Mison and/or Nicole Beharie from Sleepy Hollow
Eva Green
Rosamund Pike (from GONE GIRL)

After today's rumors, I can only think of one person first and foremost I want to see in Star Trek: Bryan Cranston! After Heisenberg, he deserves better than glorified cameos (Total Recall, Godzilla) and needs a vehicle (preferably a space vehicle) to showcase his talents.
