Well, a lot of superheroes are illegal vigilantes, so this is appropriate. If they're smart, they'll work this into the book.

New Avengers #29... some big revelations quickly glossed over here.
I hope we see more of the Illuminati's failed attempts at solutions in other comics. Where did they get the Cosmic Cube from? Why did the Celestials disappear? Where is Galactus now?

Particularly since it looked like FRANKLIN RICHARDS DIED in one of them!!!

I'm not familiar with the Beyonders. Is that their normal appearance?

So if Rabum Alal the Great Destroyer is the cause of the collapse... is this a new character? What old character might it be?

Uncanny Avengers #1 wasn't terribly interesting to me. I didn't know about Counter-Earth before now and I've never found the High Evolutionary to be very interesting. And this is a real also-ran team. It doesn't have any A Listers in it.

While I didn't read all 700 or so comments on the article, I did read the ones that were visible on the page. And it warmed my heart to see that none of them were negative in any way and all were in support of the message.

Maybe people aren't so bad after all (he says right before he ventures onto youtube ;) ).

For those who may have been hoping to pick up Dan Abnett's prose novel "Rocket and Groot Steal The Galaxy" in paperback, I have bad news-- the paperback release has been cancelled.

I was waiting for PB myself, but popped on over to Amazon and bought a hardcover as soon as I heard.

I wish they would release more of the Marvel prose novels as e-books.

Thor #4. Okay, so it's not the mother then! My new theory: Thor Girl. It's clearly a young girl with a history who is attracted to Thor. And she hasn't been seen since Fear Itself.

Noooooooooooooooooooooo... They wouldn't... What if the new Thor is Peggy Carter?

Peggy is either Thor or berthed in a nursing home circling the drain waiting to see how well her next heart attack goes.

If that's the choice? Thor or irrelevant & mostly dead?

She's never going to put that hammer down.

(The 60 second rule seems to be back in effect.)

Thor Girl. I hadn't considered Tarene as a possibility, but that actually makes a lot of sense. If her cosmic-level powers have returned (since Odin is alive again), that could explain why Mjolnir does things for her that it doesn't do for the Odinson.

No it doesn't. The only two viable candidates at this point are a) Jane Foster or b) Roz Solomon the new love interest that Jason Aaron has introduced. And as much as I like to harp about Aaron ripping off Jurgens, I just don't think it's the Designate.

yeah. i think its either Roz or Jane. Jane has been absent since the end of the previous volume. she went to live on Asgardia i believe.

Re: Marvel Now/ReEvolution Ongoing Discussion (Spoilers)

I stopped reading Thor years ago, so I'm just going to reel off a few names.

Liz Osborn. ( I liked her with Foggy, and felt sorry that her son is a bad seed psycho nut bag. The universe owes her one for being the bucket Flash Thompson lost his virginity into.)

Julie Power. (I had completely forgotten that she's gay. Never mind. It's unlikely that if Julie was Thor that she would have kissed Thor since Thor is not a goddess too.)

Val Cooper. (You can't be a bridesmaid forever. She's the president of Superhumans sometimes, it's about time she got to live the life she's been administering ruthlessly for the last 15 years.)

(Oh? Would the power of Thor fiddle with race? What if she is not white? Hell if there's any Gender dysmorphia kicking around in "Thor's" psyche, the Hammer could be previewing a sex change procedure.)

Misty Knight (which would be odd since she also has a cybernetic arm like Boy Thor.)

Coleen Wing (She's usually standing beside Misty. That means if Thor might be one of these two, it's an even chance that it might also be the other one.)

Mocking Bird. (Super Soldier Formula + Infinity Formula. OMG. Can't she give her blood away? Steve misplaced his super soldier formula, and Nick Fury's Infinity Serum just quit on him for no reason... She could go back to normal and save/revive even one of them if Nick Fury isn't really as dead as we saw him die.)

Courtney Ross (Where is Alan Davis? I miss him.)

Felicia Hardy. (She takes things that do not belong to her all the time.)

    Night Nurse. (Meh?)

Susan Richards (Yes, Thor kissed Thor. But Susan has also made time with Namor according to Mark Millar. She needs more attention than her husband is determined to give her, so I'm assuming that they have an "arrangement". Would this explain the Hammers irregular behaviour? Invisible Forcefields?)

Dakota North. (I'm just throwing Spahgetti at a wall now.)

Kate Bishop. (She takes heroes names when they're not looking. It's her thing.)

Layla Miller. (Imagine being married to 400 dudes and none of them know how to put their socks in the hamper. PADs Happily ever after for Layla didn't last a week.)

Contessa Fontaine. (Fury put the hammer in play. Of course his girlfriend is going to have a head start.)

Alicia Masters. (For gods sake Ben, if you're not going to put a ring on her finger, of course she's going to have her own adventures. The Hammer lets her see?)

Victoria Hand (Duplicitous Spy ##### rank in the stank of Osborn's shenanigans. Why the #### would Victoria hand be worthy?)

Kat Farrell (Sweet and innocent with a keen eye. It would also take heroing back to the Daily bugle that has been so lacking in recent years.)

Sally ####ing Floyd. (She wants to change the world, and may have issues with Alcohol stronger than Tony Stark + Thor.)

Could either Jane or Roz have gone to the Moon and walked on its surface without atmospheric gear, though? To me, that rules out any normal human; they simply don't have the means or opportunity to lift Mjolnir off the Moon's surface.

I think you are assuming too much that they did it by themselves when it's implied I think that it was done with the assistance of the All-Mother.

Re: Marvel Now/ReEvolution Ongoing Discussion (Spoilers)

Maybe Mjolnnir got bored and went cruising for some action?

Odin stuck it in a cave for 30 years.

Fool me once, same on you, fool me twice, shame on me.

I see Mjolnir flying around the Earth by itself in parking orbit "granting" wishes to troubled mortals.

Imagine a series of events like from any given episode of the old TV series The Littlest Hobo, if the the Littlest Hobo was a magic Hammer, and that's probably what Mjolnnir got up to between Thor turning shady and Mjolnir falling in love with an Earth Girl.

    Odinson + Mjolnir = 48 Hours.

    (Nu)Thor + Mjolnir = The Notebook.

Allyn...you forget that Thor's mom set this into motion to spite Odin's behavior. Roz is the most likely candidate here and which is why I stated when "Thor #1" hit that folks should go back and read the previous volume. I don't think it is Jane (Aaron kind of touched on her and Thor and sort of resolved them and evolved their relationship to the next stage), Female Thor really reminds me of Roz and that would be a big thing to Thor himself.

I also don't think it's one of the great-great grandaughters any more since they were surprised by the entry in the book and King Thor's reaction to this little taboo entry.
