PICTURE POST II!

Very nice cake. The last time I visited my granddaughter in Winnipeg, I took her to Kid City. Same idea as Billy Beez, indoor playground - a very excellent set up for kids to burn off lots of energy and calories. Good for granddads, too.

Looks like a swell time. :techman:

And J has to be the Best Uncle Ever!

Thanks! :D
I was just about to post the letters. Here's what I'm dropping off at my brother's house tomorrow while the little ones are with their mom:

You don't see it here, but there's a gold seal on the back, so that it looks really official. Also, it's hard to see with the flash, but I used a glowy glittery effect on the return address (S. Claus/The North Pole), which is red, that makes it look magicky.

I opted just to hand deliver them, because getting them through the postal system would have taken a lot of time I just didn't have. Plus, there's dealing with the possibility of them being rejected for some reason, so I'm playing it safe.

They went nuts over them. :D

My niece was especially excited because Santa talked to her about things she only wrote to him that no one (except for me of course) could possibly know about. To her, this was confirmation that Santa was the real deal.

My nephew was excited, but disappointed too because Santa couldn't get his "papaw" new teeth. I guess even Santa has limits. ;)

All in all, they were thrilled, and that's satisfaction enough for me. Mission Accomplished for another year. :D

Excellent to hear. Mission accomplished, indeed. Time for a refreshing beverage!!:bolian:

That's great to hear, J.! :)

Indeed! :D

D'aww! Happy Hanukkah to you and your lovely family! Also, your son has excellent taste in Alicorn Overlords! :D

Happy kids make the holiday season worth every erg of energy poured into it. I could receive absolutely nothing over the holidays, and as long as the hopes and wishes of little ones come true, I have received all I need to make me happy.

We went skiing up at Mammoth Mountain two weekends ago, and I snapped some photos as it was my first time on such an adventure.

This was our instructor, Captain Jim. He's a great teacher and I highly recommend him if you ever find yourself at Mammoth. I did fall down a lot, but I'm told that's to be expected for the first time out. By the end of the day I was zipping around comfortably and enjoying "cruising speed" as I referred to it.

Later, we took the "Scenic Gondola" up to the top of the mountain, reaching an altitude of 11,053 feet. I am almost positive that's the highest elevation I've been without being inside an airplane!

I must say, New York really is a beautiful city at night, especially around this time of year.

Great new pics, guys! doubleoh scores with the skiing pics and Savage reminds me how much fun it was the last time I was in New York City (it wasn't during the Christmas season but I loved seeing Rockefeller Plaza).

Fantastic pictures Savage, one thing I miss about living on Long Island was the ability to jump on a train and be in NYC in 45 minutes. Especially during the holiday's, run in and see the tree at Rockefeller center.

I took my last Water Color class at the Y today, here is my final painting "Trees in Snow"

Savage Dragon, your eye never ceases to amaze me. Those photos are gorgeous!

Again, MisfitToy -- some more Chocolate Dog for ya. She really had a blast in the snow!
