Agents of SHIELD - Season 2 Discussion Threads. (Spoilers Likely)

So Tripp did die, I missed that. Damn.
So some of the theories were right. So I guess this means Daisy/Skye will be our first super(or I guess In)human regular?
As for the episode itself, I loved it. I went right from The Flash to this, so I'm on a awesome TV high right now.
I am sad to see Tripp die, but other than that I loved the episode. I have to admit, I half expected them to find a way to keep from giving us any real reveals, so I'm thrilled we got so many big reveals. I haven't read any Inhuman comics, but I'm familiar enough from research to get the significance of the Terrigen Crystal and the mist. That was awesome. I didn't catch if Raina did anything after her Terrigenesis. It will be very interesting to see how all of this ties into the Inhuman movie.
So was the fact that Hyde (are we allowed to call him that now?) referred to them as "gifted" also a subtle confirmation that Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver are also Inhumans?
I was a little disapointed to see Whitehall killed, but I guess this was a good place to end his story.
It will be very interesting to see where they go with Ward and Agent 33. That could be an interesting pair up now that they both lost who they were working for.
I wonder if they will both now be kind of floating villains, who keep popping up working for who ever the current big bad is?

At any rate...with Whitehall dead (RIP, Danny-boy...you were one awesome villain), I guess it means his cell of HYDRA's been cut down as a threat.
On the other hand...Cut Off One Head, and all that.
Still, it almost seems like the big switcheroo of Agent Carter until March means that the storyline for this season is basically almost over--SO...
What's left to wrap up?
1. Skye (Will we still call her that, or will she accept the name "Daisy"?) coming to terms with the fact that she is now, officially...a superhero. (I could easily see her powers making her "cut loose" early and kill off the HYDRA types still trying to get into the city...and then the shock of it makes her panic....)
(BTW...nice nod to the beginning--the pilot, remember, has her talking to Mike Peterson about how "With great power comes...a bunch of weird stuff you're not prepared for", or something. Ah, Skye, if only you knew....)
2. Coulson with his Kree blood issues--he was able to survive (and for a while, so was Trip...so there's a SLIGHT possibility that he's still okay, and just hasn't "broken out" yet). Will he have powers of his own? Even if not...I'd imagine he'd be the one most likely to be able to "rein in" Skye/Daisy...if her powers get out of hand.
3. I'd imagine, as far as Cal's concerned, this is NOT over yet, between him and Coulson. "I'M her father, NOT YOU!!!"
4. Ward and 33 going on their "own path" rampage.

Poor Agent Triplett. He'd still be alive if he hadn't gone after the others, if Coulson hadn't looked for Skye, and if Skye hadn't followed Raina.Are they going to turn into metahumans now, like Barry Allen and Ronnie Raymond?

The guy with no eyes was probably karnak.
In the comics this inhuman does have eyes, but he also has a huge forehead and the superhuman ability to "see" the weaknesses/flaws in any object/person, which means that he can destroy almost anything with one punch.

In all the discussion above, one thing that not a lot of people are talking about is the Mack/Bobbi secret thumbdrive. Those two are up to something, and now Hunter is already on the trail.

Likely some kind of tie-in with Age of Ultron next year.
Or to keep the show topical and on the air. It's not like AoS has been referenced in any other Marvel movie. Do Tony and the others even know Coulson is not dead?
Are we sure that Raina was turning into something feline? I remember when the character was first announced it was pointed out that there is a Raina in the comics, but as she turned out to be seemingly normal, it was thought simply to be two characters with the same name. But, now...?
Well, I think that answers that.
I think Raina is still an original character. Unlike SkyeDaisyQuake, there's no hints of anything else. In addition, the writers said they kept her around because they liked her performance. She could easily have been one and done and killed by Scorch otherwise. While they may have decided to retcon her as a comic character, my guess is she's an original character (and I have no problem with that, hell, I hope they add her to the comics - she's awesome).
The only problem with the Reader theory is that Charles Soule wasn't listed in the "Special Thanks To" section, and AoS has always been diligent in thanking creators in the credits.
