I know I'm nitpicking. But if Vulcan blood is copper-based (thus green), why are Spock and Sarek shown with normal pink-red lips like humans? Would they not be green instead? The makeup directors must have wondered about this.

On Vulcan, Botox is officially considered illogical, so Vulcans who do want to make use of botox injections have to make do with imported Botox designed for human use. Spock uses it as an indulgence of his human half's vanity. Sarek uses it due to his jones for human females.

In fact (although it was not portrayed accurately on screen) all normal, non-Botoxed Vulcans have lips like Larry Linville of M*A*S*H fame.

But the thing is, was McCoy's statement a fact? Or just another of his McCoy-isms?
