Hair's to you!

Supposedly, Sean Connery wore a chest hairpiece as James Bond, because someone didn't think his natural chest hair looked virile enough or something.
Baloney. :) There are so many pictures of shirtless Connery pre and post Bond to prove the lie to that idea.
I'm skeptical about it too. He looks pretty hairy in Zardoz as I remember it.

I've seen Shatner in television appearances before Trek, notably in Man from UNCLE, and his hairstyle looks the same, but UNCLE was at least a year or two before the studio was buying custom hairpieces for him. They must have been going through his own stylist.

Wonder why Riker didn't have to shave his chest? He's even more in the future than Kirk!

Speaking of TNG, someone posted this on my FB page recently.

I Am so bad at noticing hair pieces, unless it's way obvious.
Shatner has gone so long with his piece that it's impossible for him to loose it....unless he plays a part like lex Luther or something.

Does anyone know where this pic came from? Is it from a TV show or a photoshopped piece? The site I found it on doesn't reference it specifically other than talking about Shatner's "many hairlines."

That is almost certainly a photoshopped simulation.

Riker's chest hair is prominently visible in "The Naked Now".

Yeah, in some scenes you can see it visible in the uniform collar, just sticking out the top near the neck. Of course, given the plot it might be deliberate... ;)

It's definitely on display in "Angel One" when he wears the native male clothing.

Stangely enough I'd actually forgotten that example. :D

Good. Because that picture freaked me out a little.

Shatner has displayed so many different "hairstyles" over his career. Does anyone know if his latest scalp fur is transplanted or a rug?
