OK so i know this is a bit of an unorthodox first post lol, but i have been wondering whether kenan and kel could have fit into star trek deep space nine. both shows were on during the same period and both were very popular, and in the kenan and kel episode ‘futurama’ it is shown that they can travel forward in time to the future so its plausible that they could have travelled to ds9.
i was thinking they would travel forward just to see what it was like, it would have to be in season 5 as kenan and kel only started then! but anyway they could travel forward in time on their debut episode and then somebody would take the device they used to get there, the episode would involve tons of crazy capers and then when they finally get it back kel would do something stupid and break the device and kenan would be like “WWWHHHYYY” LOL, then their story arc would basically be that they have to fit into ds9 until they are able to find a way to get home.
i mean just as an example of how they could have enhanced the show, imagine they had been in the episode 'in the pale moonlight'. when sisko gets that fake rod made, kenan and kel could look at it and think its really cool, and then kel would accidentally break it and kenan be like "WWWHHYYY?!" and then they try to fix it, but they mess it up and thats why the romulan knew it was a fake. and they think theyve ruined everything until the romulan ship gets destroyed and everything sort of works out in the end
everyone knows ds9 is a bit of a serious show and its a bit boring that they always turn to the ferengi for comic relief, kenan and kel would be better comic relief i think! they’d always be annoying worf and worf would always wanna kill kel because he does stuff like trash his quarters with his weapons and jump all over him haha, and kenan would have to calm worf down lol. sisko and odo would be annoyed by them and odo would always be trying to foil kenan’s crazy schemes haha. whenever kenan was coming up with a crazy scheme for them to do something to try and get back to their time kel would be like “awww here it goes!!” haha. and i was thinking kenan could be in love with major kira but kel would always mess things up for him, and then he’d be like “WHHHYYY”!
at the end after the dominion war is over they’d find a way to get back home and they’d fit into the end montage perfectly, and i think it would be remember as one of the most creative and ingenius crossovers of all time!
