Re: Donny's TOS Enterprise Interiors That is wise. Hmmm...I feel a Wrath of Khan one-line-at-a-time vibe coming on in this thread.
Re: Donny's TOS Enterprise Interiors In any case, were I to evoke logic: logic clearly dictates that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.
Re: Donny's TOS Enterprise Interiors "It's a far, far better resting place I go to, that I've ever known."
Re: Donny's TOS Enterprise Interiors "I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year."
Re: Donny's TOS Enterprise Interiors You may be an undigested bit of beef, a blot of mustard, a crumb of cheese, a fragment of an underdone potato. There's more of gravy than of grave about you, whatever you are!
Re: Donny's TOS Enterprise Interiors Oh, boy. I better post another update before this gets too out of hand.
Re: Donny's TOS Enterprise Interiors By Grabthar's Hammer...what a savings. On topic though, the bridge in Twok is defiantly grey-ish white. All the colour comes from the lighting (color temperatures man!)
Re: Donny's TOS Enterprise Interiors We will not debate his profound wisdom at these proceedings. You win.
Re: Donny's TOS Enterprise Interiors That ship has already sailed ... Another update would be very much appreciated, though..
Re: Donny's TOS Enterprise Interiors Not much to show, really. Been filling in some architectural details like this greebly panel (and the rest that were added between TMP and TWOK) before I start working on building the textures for the display screens.
Re: Donny's TOS Enterprise Interiors Great work as always but I really think that you should start a new thread for the movie era stuff. Your work deserves it!!!! On the above rendering the fire extinguisher looks like a photograph. Just stunning work!
Re: Donny's TOS Enterprise Interiors So that's where this ridiculous image came from! Must've been hiding behind that panel...
Re: Donny's TOS Enterprise Interiors Thanks for the kind words! I had debated starting another thread, but I kinda like the idea of having all my work in one thread. Perhaps I should just rename the thread (again)?
Re: Donny's TOS Enterprise Interiors Still doesn't reasonably explain it. Could you imagine a crew member kneeling down, removing this panel and then turning the right knob every time a yellow alert is ordered? It's a shame, really, that this insert shot of a rented prop was used when there are so many of the actual detailed set-piece control surfaces never got any screen-time. I do have to admit, however out-of-place the panel is, I still like it's retro aesthetic.
Re: Donny's TOS Enterprise Interiors A cadet, for training purposes? Maybe. Oh well, can't blame a guy for trying.
Re: Donny's TOS Enterprise Interiors Why does it have to be on the bridge? And yes, I like buttons, knobs, and switches.
