Dude. Any excuse to have Colin Baker appear in modern Who is a good excuse. We now know as fact that Ten regenerated and kept his same form, because he was so attached to that body. Perhaps Maxil has regenerated half a dozen times since then, and kept the same form each time? If he had Colin Baker's striking good looks, why on Gallifrey would he want to change that?

I totally agree. Colin Baker is awesome, so really any excuse to see him would be awesome.

I like Colin Baker's expression in your av. It's like he's been listening to our conversation and thinking, "You know, I never thought about it like that. I got screwed!":techman:

It's actually said in SJA that it's *rumoured* Ian and Babs don't age, not that they definitely don't.

How exactly would that work anyway? It doesn't seem to have affected Sarah Jane or Jo at all.

Might not be down to the Tardis, might be down to the Dalek time machine they used to get home?

OK, well that merely upgrades it from "nearly impossible" to "possible but makes no damn sense, totally random, and has no basis in anything previously established."

So, what, Maxil chopped a hand off immediately after each regeneration to prevent his actual appearance from changing? I guess it's not a bad idea, though shouldn't there also be about a dozen Maxil meta-crisis clones?

I don't think 10.5 is the regeneration. It was a side effect. The way I interpret 11's words from Time of the Doctor, 10 was so vein he did regenerate and kept the same form, so it was Ten regenerating into Ten. That there was excess energy and a hand happened to be near to grow something else (with only one heart) is just a bonus.

It also fits into Romana choosing her form during her first regeneration.

One of the more bizarre aspects of the Omnirumour was the report that Philip Morris had issues with Steven Moffat and wanted him out.

Well it turns out there is some truth to that.

Which may lead some to go, "A-ha! Morris is hoarding until Moffat goes!"

So how long before Ian Levine responds with a completely over the top response comparing Phillip Morris to some manner of vermin or something.

As for Morris's editorial, he does make some good points about many things. I'm so far liking season 8 primarily because of Capaldi, but Moffat's writing does seem somewhat lacking.

Uhh, Ian Levine won't be doing much of anything for a while...

Twitter Account, August 24: If you have not already heard, I am in the hospital recovering from a major stroke. I am doing my best to recuperate and get my life back.
August 28: I don't believe a word Philip Morris has said. What happened to the wind blowing in the right direction? Someone is tweeting for me. I am sadly not better. Far from it. I will be (doing) poorly for several months.

EDIT: Ah, Allyn beat me to it.

Oh, shit! I kind of feel bad making a joke about him now. Whatever else we may think of Ian Levine, strokes are pretty terrible and can completely screw a person's life over.

He's expressing his opinion just like anyone else does. It's only the fact that he's now in the spotlight makes his comments all the more brighter. I only hope it doesn't bring out more hoarding speculation...

Hadn't heard the news about Ian before today. Hope he recovers well.

How ironic that Ian Levine's replacement in the Missing Episodes game has turned out to be Levine Mk II. I guess there's something about the obsession needed for the task that also makes you an asshole.

And speaking of assholes, since there's no chance of Moffat falling on his sword for the good of the series history it's going to be a long, long time before we see any of those episodes that are sitting in Morris' warehouse...

Hm, I used to think that Levine was a delusional bitter narcissistic douchebag picking fights with a professional, but I was clearly wrong- in fact he just happened to be picking fights with *another* delusional bitter narcissistic douchebag.

Nice to know that's cleared up.

This whole thing between them makes the plots from the BBC Bonekickers seem like a speak and spell book. lol
