Re: Where do you sleep? I would love to have a recliner to sleep in. Usually I sleep lying in the bed, but when my migraines are bad, I'll pile up the pillows and sleep propped up.
Re: Where do you sleep? Unfortunately this won't help you, Rhubarb, but they are available outside the US -- in Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Just in case someone else is interested. They're really wonderful beds.
Re: Where do you sleep? We have a king size bed with box springs and one mattress, it takes an hour each morning for the pain to go away.
Re: Where do you sleep? seriousely? That'd be nothing for me, though I like a hard mattrass. I can imagine that bed being rather nice in a hot climate but over here we get temperatures around -30°C at noon in January and if there was a power failure I'd have to sleep in a bed that's colder than the slab in the morgue. And there's the prob of how to get such a bed up a narrow stair into the bedroom. When it comes to natural materials I much prefer nice clean desert sand to sleep on. It's just the right dregree of hardness, warms up quickly under your body (desert nights are cold) and fits every body shape. If only there was a way to get the crawly things out *rolleyes*.
Re: Where do you sleep? The things also heat the stone so winter can be spent like a lizard on a hot rock. Most folks use a futon (yo in Korea) when sleeping on them, but they are quite thin unlike those sold in the West as futons. Most homes and apartments heat with underfloor heating, so the stone bed is more often a superfluous luxury. Of course, some folks just don't like sleeping on floors. The downside of the underfloor heating is that it makes rooms frightfully dry. Laundry at my old apartment could be laid out on the floor after the spin cycle and would be bone dry within an hour during winter. The stone bed let's you turn off the underfloor heating, or turn down, so you don't wake up feeling like Lawrence of Arabia coming out of a forced desert march.
Re: Where do you sleep? ^yes, but if I understood that ad correctly it's heated/run by electricity. If you have a power failure you'll get more than just cold feet My sister sleeps on a futon. She says it's utter bliss for her back (she has a desk job). I'd give that a try, too, but with my arthrosis I find it increasingly difficult to get up from the floor. It's so undignified having to get to all four first when trying to stand up..
What size bed do you sleep on? Is it standard spring mattress, a pillow top, or say memory foam. What kind of sheets do you have. Head & Footboard? Trundle bed? Tells about your bed.
I have a queen size bed which I have all to myself if one discounts one, or sometimes two, cats. It is amazing how much room one cat can take up. In Australia bed sizes are Single King Single Double Queen King
Nah, someone just asked where you sleep, not what type of mattress. As for the OP, while I would love to have a Sleep Number bed, I just could not afford it when I bought my current mattress. So, I have individually pocketed coil springs in mine. She's Queen sized too as I don't fit on anything shorter.
