Zoom Session to Talk about Star Trek

I was in bed at 10:30 as I couldn’t keep awake for another minute. My alarm went off at midnight, but I was in another dimension. It’s a real shame because I wanted to chime in on House of Quark and hear what other people thought.

I’ve got a bachelor party this Saturday and probably won’t make it. (Maybe for the last hour if it’s a total dud!)

Come join us this evening same time same place 7pm EDT / 00:00 GMT.

This week's main discussions are:

Star Trek VI Undiscovered Country
TOS - 1x26 - Errand of Mercy

@Muji do you think you will make it this evening?

Sorry all well be missing this eve as well, but we’ll be good to go for next weekend in my own place again, super excited prob the nicest place I’ve rented, on the 11th floor, has a spectacular view of our river valley and part of downtown, Uni and it is a concrete more sound proof building then my last apt have a wonderful eve and weekend/week everyone!

I planned to attend, if the weather will cooperate (thunderstorms on the way).

Oh dear I hope that goes well for you, the biggest lighting storms I have ever seen were in South Carolina. They were something else.

Looks like it would only be the two of, think I will call this week off and maybe look at doing some sort of check in for future weeks. As lockdowns and restrictions ease in most places I guess we will have less folks able to attend.

Might use this time to go watch the next TNG episode that has been in my queue for months.

Yeah, I suspect that will make it difficult for some. That said, it won’t impact me. The main blocker for me is the start time. Well, to be more accurate, the finishing time! We love a chat and often go through until 4am. This week I had to leave at 5am to pick up my brother. Those two things just don’t mix, no matter how hard I try to make it. What I wouldn’t give for an 8pm start time, but then that impacts the North Americans, so it’s just not viable. I think a check-in might be good. I feel a bit guilty when I skip it and there’s not enough people to carry on the chat.

I’ve got the wedding this coming Saturday and won’t make it, but I could do earlier the following week. I could do 5 or 4 Eastern, 10 or 9 PM London time, if that makes any difference. Maybe come for an hour? Or you guys can start before then too, and I’d join you for the second half.

Wanna give it a try for a week and see how it goes?

As long as it doesn’t tread on any toes, it would be great. I can make 10 for sure.

Oh this is great John Campea and Old Man Burnnet on completely the opposite ends of love of new Star Trek as they talk about the latest movie that has been announced.

I won’t be able to make it today because I’m not feeling well (I broke a tooth this morning). I hope you have a good time tonight.
