The models close up look a bit cartoonish but at the same time the detail is very impressive.
In standard def they were magic. The goal for contemporary modelers/renderers should be to keep the designs true to spirit but sharpen the edges, work on textures, and increase the detailing for our new high def reality. Have you seen Voyager in 4K...? Eesh.
