So we have some Tetris to work out here. We need a Zoom Session that starts before 3:00pm EDT and ends after 3:00pm EDT in order to accommodate everyone interested. EDIT: @Campe I'd be willing to host the Zoom Session. Then, theoretically, I can have it going whenever. I can work out a Zoom Session during the middle of the day and one at night.
You do what's best for the overall group, man. If I can, I'll be there. If not, I'll catch the next one.
UPDATE: I just confirmed with @Turtletrekker that we're going with Saturday! We might start a little bit earlier to accommodate some other people, but feel free to jump in at any point during the session. The window I'm going with is 2:00pm EDT to 5:00pm EDT.
LAST UPDATE: I've set up my account on Zoom for unlimited time. We're still going to have this Zoom Session from 2:00pm to 5:00pm EDT on Saturday. If you can be part of this and would like to be, please PM me your email address so I can add you to the session. Thanks! @Campe was kind enough to host last time, but I'll be hosting it from here on out. EDIT: Here's the Invite Link to make things easier for anyone joining in late: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/2031377978?pwd=TmpzNXdTODd2ajRvc2gweVZaYmsrUT09
Recap: I sent @NewHeavensNewEarth the password. It was nice talking to @Arpy. He brought a lot to the table. We touched on all kinds of various Star Trek topics. And @Campe dropped in for a bit at the beginning. We're still working out the bugs. But once we work them out, we'll be a well-oiled machine. Better lighting this time around, but freaking humid weather outside, at least where I am. I slicked my hair back or it would've taken on a life of its own. And everyone's sick of Covid-19! Cabin Fever!
The next one we're going for will be later in the day. Most everyone's been American. I can schedule something separate for the middle of the day for people overseas as well. The power of my new Zoom Account. I'm thinking July 18th. 8:00pm EDT. What does everyone else think?
Between the two we've done, it seems they've been going roughly two-and-a-half hours. I'm putting the cap at three.
So starting at 6:30 Eastern, ending at 9:00, and a drop-dead end time of 9:30. It's not going to be possible to have a three-hour window that fits everyone perfectly, but it should be good enough so that people can come in at different points.
This whole experience has given me a wild and crazy idea. Next month, I'll be celebrating my 41st Birthday over Zoom. So even though it hasn't gone perfectly yet, it's opened up possibilities to me that I didn't see before, that I can extend to other things as well. Take that, Covid-19. EDIT: So next time we're going with Saturday, July 18th, at 8:30 PM EDT.
