Zombie epidemic survival *GAME*

The prevalence of zombie fiction might work against people responding quickly to a zombie outbreak. Nah, it can't be that...

Two more items for my arsenal: hand grenades and land mines.

For instance, let's say this represents the first inklings of a zombie outbreak in Occupy Vancouver (and what better place for a zombie to hide?)

Vancouver's police chief has issued a public warning to Occupy protesters, ordering them to disperse after an overnight scuffle that sent two officers to hospital with human bite wounds.
How quickly would people catch on, vs deciding that it was all some kind of hideous smear campaign, courtesy of Fox News and the corporate-controlled media?

It would be especially damaging if the real Zombies from the outbreak didn't follow current popular Zombie rules. IE: If you had to shoot them in the big toe to get a kill shot, instead of the head. Everyone trained by watching endless Zombie Flicks, would be aiming for the head, and it wouldn't do any good.

Fire Place Poker, Axe and gun,
Lots of Beef Jerkey as a lightweight food staple.
Water

^But people would still be used to the concept, even if the details were different. What the hell would people think in a world where there was no zombie fiction? Probably something a lot closer to the mass chaos we see in the last Dawn of the Dead movie.
