I didn't realize it until I was over at Lostpedia, after watching a copy of the episode 'Greatest Hits', and I clicked the link to the actress who was playing the character of 'Bonnie'-

one of the women who we saw pointing a gun at Charlie

I remembered that I had heard the name before and so I continued to investigate through imdb and discovered she was the same actress who played Ziyal in the Deep Space 9 episode 'For the Cause'.

Sorry I just thought I'd point this connection out for those who may be interested. :thumbsup:

She was the worst one. Couldn't act. I've always thought that Ciya was the best. Of course, she was "too young" for that silly Garak nonsense.

Cyia Batten was 20 years old when she filmed her 2 DS9 episodes as Ziyal.

I did like her a lot though when she appeared as one of the Orion Slave Girls attempting to seduce Jonathan Archer in the ENT episode "Bound." Interestingly, Cyia is an accomplished ballerina and was an original member of the Pussycat Dolls.

My comment was more of a critique of the choice for romance in the first place.

They pulled it out of thin air and never amounted to anything, anyway. I never found it to be necessary and thought it was quite silly.

On the flip-side, had they stayed with the younger Ziyal (and hopefully Cyia), I think the Ziyal, Damar, Kira, Dukat, (Rhombus?) would have worked so much better simply because Cyia’s Ziyal was so much more fragile and innocent than Smith’s.
