This time the few minutes of driving seemed to go okay.

That's good. Things are getting back to normal bit by bit.
Finally, what I've been waiting for for months: I got my wound vac off today. Woohoo! I feel so light and free and normal. 
Edited to add that I'm laughing at my own post. "Light and free and normal" next to a picture of Kreacher is way too ironic.

Yeah about the wound vac. Hubby had one for a bit twice..I know the nights will be quieter!!! Now the problem is how to sleep with all that quiet!!

AncientOne, I'm sleeping just fine in the silence.
Went to the mall yesterday and walked for about an hour. And that was after food shopping and a haircut! I hadn't walked that much since before the surgery. Woohoo! My ex was so pleased that he didn't even complain about... oh, the horror!... going into a women's clothing store.
(Yes, I bought something. There's a pic in the latest purchases thread.)

My incision has not continued to heal, and the wound vac is going back on. Of course, the visiting nurse and the plastic surgeon came to that conclusion about two hours after UPS had picked up the vac. So I have a couple days' reprieve before the fun begins again.
I am totally discouraged and pissed off.
Send more kitty pictures! Bunnies are good, too. In fact, bunnies are even better.
