I just discovered this; I have no idea what it is, but its 2 hours, and seems to feature some sort of splicing between real footage and new fan film footage, maybe? I'm not really sure. I know its partially taken from the old game (never played it) but this looks like real people, not 1997 computer graphics. Figured I'd post it here.

Seems to be an edit which mashes together the Starfleet and Klingon Academy game cutscenes.

Yep, that.

1997 computer games frequently used real footage for cutscenes. Some games were entirely real footage, in fact, like the fantastic Star Trek: Borg. The Academy games used it only for cutscenes, but made up for it by getting some sweeeeeet guest stars to be in them. People thought for a little while that this was the wave of the future! Now it's mostly remembered as a joke -- when it's remembered at all.
