Sub Rosa (it was just so bizarre)

Good to see someone else appreciates Sub Rosa!!
Also you seem like a Beverly fan, I must say I have a soft spot for Beverly also, she was just such a warm character.

Also, can't believe only one person has mentioned "The High Ground" so far! Well I'm about to be the second...

(In no particular order- I know, cop out)

Yesterday's Enterprise
The High Ground
The Loss
Dark Page
The First Duty
Timescape
Data's Day
Lower Decks
Lessons
Pre-Emptive Strike

Chronological order:

The Defector
Sarek
The Best of Both Worlds, I and II
Reunion
Ship in a Bottle
Tapestry
Starship Mine
Descent
Parallels
Masks

*Descent, Part II doesn't make the list since it was such a HUGE letdown.

I, for one, never really understood all the animosity towards Beverly. I loved her character!

Cool. Several Beverly-friendly posts all nearly in a row. Perhaps a first (but hopefully not a last) for this BBS. She was a good character for TNG - kind of a necessary sounding board/foil for Capt. Picard. The show could've done more with the character, but c'est la vie.

I never really cared for the show, actually. I only watched because someday the internet would become popular and people would create "7-words at a time" fan stories, and I would need to know the characters in order to participate in them.

Fine...

In no order.

1. Captain's Holiday
2. The Royale
3. Q Who? (why was the episode titled that?)
4. Conspiracy
5. The Best of Both Worlds (Only part 1)
6. Future Imperfect
7. The Drumhead
8. Parallels
9. Redemption (Part 1 only)
10. Reunion

Mentions
Cause and Effect
Brothers (The Lore, Data and Soong scenes are great, the rest...meh.)

Also, TNG had great Part 1's that usually led to let down Part 2's (because being episodic, they had to wrap everything up in the next hour).

I always felt that Beverly had an extremely "homely" presence (not that her looks were in anyway homely). She made the ship feel very warm and I think she just had such a calming presence. I think there are a few characters like that in Trek that have a somewhat gentle presence that can lift a scene - Kes was similar.

I never understood the animosity towards "Masks." It's a guilty pleasure, sure. But it's far, far superior to many TNG episodes (virtually the entire first two seasons come to mind here). I loved it when I first saw it and still love it.

I still don't understand the plot, nothing actually made any sense. Also Spiner's gurning in this was unbearable.
Anytime he played outside of Data and expressed emotion, I need a sick bucket on hand.

1. the wounded
2. b.o.b prt2
3. yesterdays enterprise
4. the battle
5. silicone avatar (think that's what it's called. the one where the silicone entity is destroyed)
6. unification prt2
7. the pegasus
8. face of the enemy
9. birth right 1&2
10. all good things 1&2

To the Bev fans, no 'hater' here. She's good people. Lessee...may need my ref-books for this....Yesterday's Enterprise, Conspiracy, Heart Of Glory, Unification 1 and 2, The Offspring, Tin Man, Arsenal Of Freedom, Family, Datalore...tell the truth, I partly grabbed some names, because, unlike TOS, there is so greater a field to pick from...so it's trickier.

Only 10?

In order:
1. The Measure of a Man
2. Sins of the Father
3. Darmok - first episode I watched that made me believe TNG was "Star Trek" and not just some cheap rip off Paramount was launching to keep the franchise bringing in money.
4. 11001001
5. I,Borg
6. Menage a Troi
7. Sarek
8. Elementary, Dear Data
9. Pen Pals
10. The Wounded

I'm glad someone included 11001001. One of the most criminally underrated episodes. Watching it for the first time in years recently, I never realized how awesome the dialogue on the holodeck was. Easily the best episode in season 1.
