I bought lunch at Starbucks yesterday (cheese & marmite panini, a chunky of Rocky Road and strawberries & cream frap) and then at the supermarket I bought: two bottles of lemonade, caramel cinnamon waffle ice cream, chicken satay sticks, cinnamon squares cereal and mozzarella.

I also bought new glasses last week, I pick them up on Friday! :D

Do your cats know you are trying to barter them away? And if they have, are they secretly trying to plot your overthrow of the house? I know I would.

As long as they get that twice daily scoop of cat food, they don't care.

My friends threatened to kidnap my cats one day, but I know Owen and Bev will make getting them into their carriers so miserable that they'd give up pretty quickly on the whole plan.

I got myself a mortgage. I'll be poor for 25 years! :D :(

Congratulations?

Seriously, I live for the day I can own my own home. It chafes throwing so much of my income away on rent for apartments and all the discomfort that comes with them.

I'm broke anyway, so I'd rather be cash poor and equity rich rather than just plain ol' poor.

Yeah, that's probably true but paying a mortgage is still pretty annoying - you can't help wondering what else you could be doing with the money!

Perfume called So.......? Eternal.

I wish you could smell it through the computer. It kinda smells marshmallow-y. So damn good.

^ edible scents are really tricky. Some are complex and decadent, some smell like a cheap sweet shop. Sounds like you found a good one.

What have I bought today?

Well, confirmation of my car insurance renewal came through. That's £600 gone. Mind you, it's £100 less than the initial renewal quote, so I can't really complain.

Work was fairly light today, so I took my current student out for brunch (er, I mean, tutorial...) and then after a little light paperwork, off out for a picnic lunch in town. Randomly bumped into a friend so we picnicked together.

A little grocery shopping after work that cost more than I expected (£80), but it had to be done.

All in all, a nice day with more time in the summer sunshine than I expected to get, so I'm pretty happy! :)

I got me this beauty, all the way from Hong Kong. :D
It's my first touch-screen phone, it's a Nokia 5530, and I have to say it works like a charm. It's also small and light enough to be carried around in a pocket comfortably, much thinner than it's older brother, the 5800.

Currently loading a couple of movies in there, to enjoy while I'm on the go.

I've been spending way too much on going out for food over the last few days. I'm eating out for most of my meals. Not sure why. Combination of sunny weather, laziness and having a little more loose change lying around I guess.

It starts to add up though... coffee & hand-made chocolates for two first thing, followed later by a rather tasty pastrami bagel for lunch and in the evening out for tapas. I think I need to start reining the food spending back in a little! Tapas is especially dangerous for this, since each dish is so cheap, that I end up ordering lots to share around... :D

An iphone - I thought it was about time I joined the technological age.

Season 2 of Lost - I've come late to it, but I'm absolutely enthralled by it at the moment. Why didn't anyone ever tell me Lost was so fabulous!?

I need to live on bread and water for a while now.

The only eating out I do these days is during the weekend. And on Thursdays I get a Starbuck's coffee right before class so I won't fizzle out before it ends.

Plane tickets...have to fly home to Philly for the weekend to attend a funeral. On the positive side, I'll actually get to go home for only the second time since 1999.
