Last night I threw down $20 at the local used bookstore. I've been reading mostly non-fiction for the past couple of months, so I decided to stock up on geek-fiction. I bought...

Life, The Universe and Everything
Planet of the Apes (novelization of the shitty remake)
Doctor Who and the Android Invasion
E.T. novelization
Close Encounters novelization
Star Trek: Enterprise- The First Adventure
Star Trek: Spock's World
Star Trek: Final Frontier

... then I went to pick up my puppy from the vet. He went in yesterday for neutering and they also found three puppy teeth that needed to be pulled. $400 later I have my pup back.

Since the day was a loss money-wise I decided I may as well add groceries to the total!
Yikes. By the way, the correct response is not "groceries" but "wine". FYI, for the future. :)

Doh! Luckily I had some wine already on hand but point taken you can always use some more. :)

Today I spent money on fuel for the car and fuel for me (coffee!) for a six hour drive home. This weekend I did some Christmas shopping - a fishing pole for one nephew and clothes for another (he's so young he'll be more interested in the wrapping anyway).

I bought a coat, some black gloves and some earrings. I've needed a coat for a while but had to finally go and get one today because I'm going to the opera on Monday and don't think that my usual old jumpers etc. are going to cut it for the Royal Opera House.

Nice coat. The opera isn't particularly glam these days (unless it's a gala opening night or something like that), but still a nice excuse to dress up a bit. Not that anyone should need an excuse... :)

I know, but I usually try and wear jeans to every place possible. Thought I should make the effort and do things such as actually wear a skirt for once.

^ I have a couple of boots, but the winter always seems too cold, and the summer too hot, so they just go to waste in my closet.

Please wear the boots and make men happy.

Do it for us. And if not for us, do it so the cows did not die in vain. :D

I bought--from Coldwater Creek, of course-- an embossed ivory blanket and an embroidered brown suede handbag for my best buddy's Christmas gift. I hope she likes it.

I hope they're giving you an extra discount with all the shopping you're doing there! :)

It's true, Ladies In Knee-Boots do indeed make men happy. We knows what we likes.

:D

You've given me one good reason to give them to charity... :p  ;)

We're your charity.

The problem I have with boots is getting them to fit around my calves, and on my big size 8 feet.

I got a couple of Blu-rays today:
- Chuck - Season 1 (hell-fuckin'-yeah!)
- Hancock
- You Don't Mess With the Zohan

I need to stay away from that videogame store...

I got Halo 3 and PGR4, 'cause they were on sale at 2 for 30£.

I also got myself what is going to be my brother's Christmas gift to me, still for the XboX I got SceneIt? complete with the four quiz-sticks, or whatever they are called. :D

For the record, I already finished playing Mass Effect three times, but I still have to start on Conan.
