Filled up the gas tank in the van ($2.499/gal and falling!). Also bought the graphic novel collection of the Serenity: Better Days miniseries. It's actually been out for a month but it totally sailed under my radar.
Safco 1933 desk, Humanscale M7 monitor arm, second Samsung 226bw monitor
Some one has broken in to my geek room! I have nearly the same setup with two exceptions, the monitor stand and the desk. I see we have the same tastes in speakers as well. Looks great!
A 3 disc DVD edition of The Incredible Hulk.
I bought a bottle of absinthe--a brand distilled here in Cananda, called "Taboo".

Really? I didn't think you could find Absinthe here that isn't an imitation.

Bah! When I read your post, I saw that I had misspelled "Canada."
Anyway--it's true: you can buy the real thing here, but it's hard to obtain.
The LCBO stocks two different brands. But one of them (Hill's) is a Czech imitation--probably the stuff you're thinking of. And the other (produced by Pernod) just isn't very good, from what I've read.
I bought my bottle online, from the distiller, in BC. It was pretty expensive, but when you keep in mind that absinthe is diluted with water (at a ratio of 3:1), the price per glass is not bad at all.
The SAQ website lists seven different brands, including Hill's and the Pernod, but not Taboo.

Just how much are we talking here?

About a hundred dollars Canadian. Two-thirds of the price was for the bottle itself, and the remaining third was for shipping by courier.
Wow, it really surprises me that it's only that much, to be honest. Considering how much a really good bottle of scotch or irish whiskey will go for.
70 bucks isn't bad, especially since I live in BC and would save a lot on shipping costs, perhaps even picking it up in person depending on the location of the distillery.

It's made by Okanagan Spirits, in Vernon.
