I've always thought the flying demon with his arms crossed in the background has the most wonderful expression on his face. Pure delight at the carnage he's witnessed. Chilling... but wonderful.

I've really been grooving on Academic art lately. When I have the cash, I'm going to purchase large prints of Dante and Virgil and Nymphs and Satyr, from the Art Renewal Center.

Thanks, but I'd be lying if I said I was familiar with his work in general.

I only happen to know that one because it's pretty famous and the theme appealed to me so it stuck in the memory. I saw his Birth of Venus - very impressive - in the Musee D'Orsay (I think) and of course I know the Cupid & Psyche "kiddie rape porn" one too.

I just looked up the Nymphs and Satyr on google - of course, impossible to really appreciate but looks powerful. I have a pipedream to get a print of Dante and Virgil too... I actually have a plan to hang it over the head of my bed.

I think at their campaign sites, you get a sign or a bumpersticker or whatever by making a donation. It could be seen as "buying" it.

Sorry to hear that. Tyres are ridiculously expensive anyway.

I've found a pretty good local places for tyres that's both reliable and competitively priced. I replaced all 4 of mine recently (Continental SportContact 2s or 3s - can't remember exactly).
