I bought a haircut. But my usual stylist was on vacation, so I saw some one else, and she cut it almost and inch shorter than I asked. My friend says it doesn't look bad, but it's just so short! It's a good cut otherwise, though, so in a couple of weeks I'm sure it'll have grown to a length I'm more comfortable with.
I also bought a new cog and chain set for my bike.

I bought the 4-disc special edition of The Ten Commandments and the special edition of Ben-Hur, in honor of Charlton Heston.

Ben-Hur is probably my favorite of his films...but those two are really the best, and so should have been in my collection long before now.

I have also been spending craploads of money on iTunes lately...loading up on a bunch of new music.

I'll even add some hot fudge.... ;)

Now you're talking!

Does a new bathroom count?

Did not actually purchase it yet, but got an estimate from a contractor.

I think it counts. Actually one of reasons I haven't been posting in this thread much lately is because I'm buying new siding and a new living room window and new gutters for my home. That should do me for home improvements for at least the next year or two. :p

Just so no one thinks I'm not contributing to the economy here.

JAG: Not that I'm in a hurry to take on my bathroom anytime soon but what are you having done?

Everything! I have having it ripped to nothing and starting over. Getting rid of the tub and installing a shower stall, new toilet, vanity, sink, tile floor and wall, new cieling, with a light and a fan for the shower.

This is my tax refund, my economic incentive and than some all rolled into one.

I'm scared :eek::eek::eek::eek:

I brought the DVD for No Country For Old Men. Took me 30 minutes or so to find it, as it was released here today, and one store were yet to unpack all the new releases.

I know the feeling. Good luck! :)

I paid 30 Euro to get my drivers license made at city hall. Which I should be able to pick up Tuesday. I also ordered a company car, hopefully its here before Tuesday. My super duper long weekend starts on Wednesday :).

Today at lunch I picked up some books to get me through a wet and rainy weekend:

"On Beauty" by Zadie Smith
"Never Let Me Go" by Kazuo Ishiguru
"Saturday" by Ian McEwan
"The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime" by Mark Hadden

I also picked up "Perfumes: The Guide" by Turin & Sanchez. Even though they didn't care much for my beloved Chanel #19 I found their irreverent attitude a refreshing change from the normally breathy prose of other perfume guides.

That is an AWESOME little novel. One of the few things I read last year that I found truly engrossing.

This was random. I just bought a dresser. I was browsing craigslist, there was a nice little white dresser for $40, "Available NOW", and they said they'd deliver for an extra $10. So I emailed them -- is it clean? do the drawers open smoothly? Yes and yes. When can you guys deliver? "Half an hour".
Seriously, it's like 1 am and they just brought me a dresser!

I surely hope you didnt buy it new from the dealer. Not when you could have pm'd me and me referred you to someone that you could buy it from used.
