Just saw this... Yep, still very much a busy bird feathering the nest for winter. :D

Picked up some Christmas deco for the first time ever in honour of a friend... most of it being lots and lots of red caddles... already feeling rather festive... :D

Hulk bought advent calendar. Hulk looks forward to the little bits of chocolate every day.

Finally took some pics of the new HD-DVD player and HDTV! I've been looking into a new entertainment center too.

What kind of tv did you get? Mine broke last night (just as I was settling in with a glass of wine to forget a bad day) so guess who needs to go shopping?

Well I bought a haircut today, if that counts :)

Before that, I think it was some DVDs whilst shopping the other day- Spider-Man 3, Hostel 2, and Predator 2
Oh yeah, and I bought an advent calendar too. I may be 23, but its not Christmas without an advent calendar

Such wisdom, how does one manage? :D

Very merrily indeed.

And to stay on topic... bought a Thrustmaster Ferrari wheel for the playstation. Winter nights in - sorted. :bolian:

I bought a Santa suit!

I play Santa at my daughters school each year, and the old one was getting ratty.

Careful what you wish for, it's been madly addictive. I have the aches and pains to prove it. :p

Bought sparkling ginger and lemongrass presse. Great on ice.

Bruised all over? From the games console? Sure....

Oh so healthy... drop a dash of rum in there at least! :p

That, and you have no desire or ability to share closet space. ;)

An air compressor for my garage. I don't know how I've lived without it this long.

A new battery for the 34 Ford

A christmas present for the wife from the kids. She's wanted a KitchenAid stand mixer since we got married. I found a killer sale price on one after Thanksgiving at Sears and picked it up for her. My oldest was with me and he's dying to tell her.

A tank of unleaded and a pack of Ansell BareBack condoms from the gas station, a chicken kebab (extra meat with the lot) for lunch from the local Turkish cuisine emporium, and a mint first edition copy of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin's Hymn of the Universe from ABE.com.

OK I also just got the new Motorola DCH3416 M-Card-enabled HD DVR today, free for the first 3 months, and $11.99 a month after from Comcast, to go with the new HDTV.

Tipster Cableric sent in a pic of the recently-announced Motorola DCH3416 set-top box, an all-digital HD DVR with a 160GB drive inside that also supports multistream CableCARD (M-Card) for viewing or recording multiple TV streams simultaneously (along with picture-in-picture). It also works with Motorola's "Follow Me TV" placeshifting suite, which allows users to move pictures, music, and recorded content around their home network to other compatible STB's. The software follows Open Cable Application Platform (OCAP) middleware development standards, which should allow for easier updates and implementation of third-party tools. According to Cableric, the console includes the usual audio and video connections, in addition to HDMI, component video, Firewire, SATA, USB 2.0, and Ethernet. Should be good times for cable customers looking to replace the standard cable DVR.
