Half a dozen cheap second-hand CDs from the market:

Switch - INXS (their first post-Hutchence album - top notch!)
Counterparts - Rush (my first Rush album, though it won't be my last....)
Don't Believe The Truth - Oasis
The Best of Bond - Various Artists (assorted Bond themes)
Madonna - Music
Get The Knack - The Knack

All those for a tenner - bargain :D

#1: NEVER buy a used car without having a qualified mechanic thoroughly inspect it.
#2: If you "buy here, pay here" you will pay 2x what the car is worth!

Not buying used. I bought my first, and perhaps only, new car. I'm at a point in my life when I can go crazy, and this may never come around again.

Not all that crazy, I'll have it paid off entirely in 2.5 years, and have only paid $300 in interest. I think the sales people might have wept after I left - no extras, couldn't talk me into things, and I had a large down payment. And they had to give me 1.9% financing.

It hasn't been easy - my story is similar to that of kimc's in being a woman attempting to buy something on my own. I also bought from a woman who when I said that I wasn't going to pay their price for accessories because I can pay less than half online, said, good, my boss won't budge on it, and you shouldn't be paying that much, and then moved on.

My only issue was that I bought a car that is nearly impossible to buy, so didn't pay much below MSRP... and the fact that we pay more here in Canada.

I now, almost, own a car that can be used in a Babylon 5 debate. ;)

Not when I've been unwilling to drive anything for a year, and am worried to get into any vehicle. The $1000 more that I paid for it new as opposed to getting it 1-2 years old is well worth it to my peace of mind. Especially when I'll be owning it long term.

Since I came back from vacation:

ATI Radeon x1050 video card to replace an aging Xtasy card ($75)
repairs to power steering pump ($300)
new brakes ($100)

Got A Few Good Men, Underworld and The Replacement Killers for $9.99 each on Blu-Ray at Fry's.

Also got some pink sugar cookies at Fred Meyer. :)

I bought a really big bag of Tesco's finest shortbread and chocolate and white chocolate cookies. God knows how many calories there were in them, but, I scoffed the lot! :D :D

Picked up this textbook on Thursday and 28 Weeks later Blu-ray on Friday.

^ I think that your purchase matches your screen name perfectly! :)

I've just bought two tickets to Chicago the musical. It's on tour at a parochial little theatre in my neck of the woods and I'm off to see it tonight. It'll be a treat to see a big production close to home - usually we have to slog to the big smoke or similar.

I tried to buy a burgundy scarf and hat to match a burgundy bag yesterday. I found none. Instead I ended up buying a teal hat and brown, green and black scarves.

Why is burgundy so hard to find. I need burgundy boots. Teal boots too. Sigh.

Burgundy's a lovely colour.

Loro Piana has some utterly fab cashmere burgundy scarves at the moment. Ralph Lauren usually has some nice wool/cashmere blends too, though I haven't seen any in stock recently.

From the High Street end of the market, Marks & Spencer's often has solid-colour burgundy wool scarves, as I think does Gap.

Lots of calories... but GOOD calories! ;)

I bought three bars of soap from The Body Shop today and two books (book 3 part 2 and book 4 of A Song of Ice and Fire).
I wanted to buy shoes, but they didn't have my size in the model I wanted :(

(1) Bought one personal training session to get some good hints and tips about what I'm doing wrong in the gym. We'll see about others after I've decided whether he's worth it or not.

(2) A pair of Nike Golf Shoes to complete my current Golfing purchases. Though I got them at £35, so my wallet wasn't too beaten up.

(3) Tuna steaks to go with a bottle of Cinsault Rose wine from the Languedoc. I nearly always buy food to match my wine rather than the traditional other way around :D

Hugo - Yum!

I got a toy educational octopus for my niece and liquid glucosamine for myself... The latter smells like Hawaiian Punch but tastes terrible!
