Kimc - Sorry to hear that

Holdy - $167 for car insurance in California is actually not bad. I would have expected more.

My condolences, kimc. :(

My last purchases were Tin Man and Stargate: The Ark of Truth on DVD. Plus two shirts, a hoodie, socks, shoes and a pair of jeans. A fairly affordable week.

Last night, hubby and I bought a 42 inch LG LCD flat screen tv. Now we have to rearrange the whole sitting room and get another entertainment center!

Kimc--so sorry to hear about your dog. I lost my cat less than 2 months ago; it really leave a hole in your heart. Hang in there. :(

I bought cremation for my beloved dog Coco who passed away Wednesday night. :(

I'm so very very sorry to hear this. :(

I know you loved Coco very much. My deepest condolences. :(

Wow, have I actually discovered something that's cheaper in the UK than the US?? :wtf:

My condolences, kimc. As a fellow pet owner, my heart goes out to you. :(

Holdfast, I pay $38 a month for my insurance. So...ha.

I got myself a nice watch today. I haven't worn a watch in about 10 years (I just used my cell phone to check the time) and I didn't really need one. But I did want this one for a while now, so I got it today. It's an Omega Seamaster. Nice eh? ;)

And yes, it's the real deal, not a cheap knock-off.

Yesterday I got Bourne Ultimatum special edition and The Postman, both on DVD.

Cool watch.

Mind you, I'm admittedly a little biased, since I have this Seamaster. ;)

I have half an eye on getting this one at some stage, though I also like the look of one of the Cartier Tank Americaine range too.

^ Thanks, and yeah it is a cool watch if I may say so myself. ;) IMO it's just he right amount of cool you know? My dad owns a Rolex which I think is a tad on the boring side. This one is definitely not boring, but it's also not kitschy like some watches out there.

But that's just my opinion.

And though I'm not a fan of leather straps (at least not on men's watches) that Aqua Terra does look terrific. :)

Now get one that's automatic (not quartz) and preferably vintage. ;)

Omega Constellation, c. 1967. It houses a calibre 751 automatic movement. This is my current daily wear watch.

^ Yeah I was considering getting an automatic, but I couldn't justify the extra cost (at least not at this point in my life).

A hole in your heart is an accurate way to describe it. Thanks to everyone who offered their condolences. I know this was an odd thread to bring it up but it honestly was my latest purchase at the time. :(

Now my latest purchase is the latte I bought on the way to work this morning. :)

My seamaster is quartz too for the exact same reason. I do regret that choice now (and not just 'cos Tim keeps ragging on me for it!) and if I could go back in time, I'd have ponied up for the automatic.

I picked up an automatic Longines last year and if I get the Aqua Terra, I'd get the automatic version. What can I say, the sweeping second hand is pretty. :D

Oh yeah, I got a custom made desk with DVD shelves on one side today. So that's another 265€. This is gonna be an expensive week, haha.
