^ :guffaw: I don't know if I should be disgusted or titillated.

Today I purchased one last gift for my sister-in-law because I decided she needed one more thing. :D I also bought some batteries for the nephew's toys and a bag of candy for me.

Now I have to finish wrapping the bloody lot. *sigh*

Bought a ticket to see Avatar in 2D. Very good film with a totally immersive environment.

Just picked up this jacket that I've been wanting since Thanksgiving, from the Coldwater Creek website. CLEARANCE SALE! Woo-hoo!

I bought a few more dresses that Holdfast wouldn't approve of. I'm nervous about the neckline on one of them, and hoping I can figure out some sort of "fix" for it.

I like this.

This sounds... intriguing!

I had an unexpected nasty expense yesterday - 4 new tyres - having skidded on the ice the day before and realised it was because I had virtually no tread left.

But I also picked up an early Christmas present for myself yesterday; a new bespoke jacket from Ede & Ravenscroft that's been in the works for a few months and they managed to finish just in time for Christmas. I wore it today for the first time (click to enlarge the thumbnail below):

If you look back through that album you'll also find a few more detail/fit-oriented pics, for the fussy amongst you to analyse (those were originally taken for another website, hence the face-obscuring on those). This pic in particular shows the kind of tailoring/shaping you can only get with a bespoke garment (even made-to-measure won't match this degree of shaping):

Well, I just finished my Christmas shopping for my family:
The Dave Brubeck box set For All Time for my dad.
Wall-E for my brother.
A netflix subscription for my mom.
And an Art Museum membership for my sister.

For myself lately, I have been buying full year sets of Progressive Architecture magazine from a guy on eBay. I now have a complete run of 1961 through 1969 as well as 1971. Hopefully he will have 1960 and 1970 up for sale soon - I would like to own a complete run of the 1960's. Now all I have to do is find space for all of them. I am storing them - plus a lot of other books that I have bought on eBay - at work, which is mildly ironic since I work at a library. I just tell my co-workers that I am setting up my own little private branch library in our Tech Services area. Fortunately my director doesn't seem to mind, or at least she hasn't said anything to me about it yet.
