^Sins is an incredible game. I love playing a very, very large game on huge maps. I haven't bought the expansion yet, but I hear that it makes it even better. Enjoy!

A ratchet, an extender for said ratchet and a 13mm head, an adjustable wrench.

Now let's play Mechano. :D

Bought a Seat Sport MOMO strut brace for the car from eBay, I couldn't be happier! :D

I was tired of the old one that kept knocking on the engine cover and the airbox. :vulcan:

If my new filter that I ordered from Italy gets delivered tomorrow as I hope, Saturday will be a great day for me and for my car indeed.

You're really having fun modding, aren't you?

- A 750 mL bottle of Dom Perignon, 2000, as a gift to a good friend graduating college May 8th.

You're a VERY good friend. The 2000 vintage is very good indeed. I hope you bought yourself a bottle too!

Halo Wars Soundtrack, Being Human DVD.

I'm also looking at a car I like (Audi A3 Quattro Diesel - the 170bhp version) but I'll have to think about that a bit more before I splurge:)

Yep. As happy as a bunny in a field of carrots. :D

The filter did come in yesterday, but I've had a couple of problems so I guess I'll try to do the whole job tomorrow instead of today. :)

^ It's a nice car, albeit a bit overpriced.

That's why I'm only thinking about it at the moment:(

There are others I fancy (more or less the same engine) but more research is needed first:)
Are you thinking of buying new or used?
I'd probably get a Škoda Octavia 2.0TDI (or maybe the 1.8T) if I was looking to spend that kinda cash. It's more practical, cheaper, and really well built. It's not quite as cool as an Audi though. ;) I also don't know if you can get one of those anyway (I'm not sure where you're from).

UK;)

I'm thinking fairly new, and the Skoda Octavia VRS Diesel is on the list. I've driven the Elegance version and that's nice enough. One of the Seats might be a good choice too though I haven't looked at those yet.

Yeah the Octavia VRS Diesel is a pretty sweet ride. It also looks really nice. We've got the 2.0TDI (170HP common-rail) in our Q5 and it's a really nice engine. Much nice to drive then the older 1.9 and 2.0TDIs.

And I have to admit that while I like Audis, VWs, and Škodas, I am not a fan of Seats.

Thank you! She is a very good friend herself. :) Sadly I didn't pick up a second; I would have but just can't afford it right now is all. I've never had the good fortune of trying Perignon so I figure this will be fantastic opportunity to do so. I picked it up from a local place for $130, which is around what it seemed to be going for online and it saved me any shipping costs.

When I told her what I did she stated, quote, "we will NOT be sharing".

Speaking of purchasing wine online, is that a viable alternative when you can't find a certain one in local shops? How are they shipped to prevent any bottle shock or anything? Forgive me, for I am a wine newb.

A 17" MacBook Pro. Using a portion of my tax return to pay for it. I figure it's justified since my 4-year-old PowerBook is sluggish when running the newest versions of CS3 and Office, has the old PowerPC processor that Apple has long since dropped in favor of Intel (and Apple will be dropping PowerPC support for future software), and most recently, the button and trackpad have started acting a little wonky.

Totally depends on where you buy it from and how good their packaging & courier is. Wine travels all over the world anyway, and manages fine, so travelling a bit more to your place isn't going to ruin it. The wine industry has got a lot better in its consistency/bottling/corking too, so it's less likely that travel will cause problems.

Having said that, I don't buy online myself, but a friend does. The bottles are sent by mail but are very well packed with polystyrene filling up gaps around the bottles in the box, etc, etc. I'd avoid it with particularly unique or expensive bottles, esp. if you haven't used the merchant before and don't know how good their packaging/courier is.

Re: the Dom Perignon you bought... I have a little fantasy of a tasting I'd really like to do one day. Comparing all the major houses' prestige cuvees side by side: Dom Perignon, Grande Annee, La Grande Dame, Cuvee Winston Churchill, Comtes de Champagnes, and probably Cuvee Rare & Clos du Mesnil to complete the set.
