Picked up about 38 bucks of stuff at the grocery store. We're expecting another big storm and I don't want to have to go shopping again for the next few days.
Some sunscreen for mum, apparently I was the one who could find the right stuff online. Aaand I bought myself a toy to go with a TENS unit.
Well not too toot a horn or anything but I recently bought me a new HP computer. Long story but suffice to say my old computer was fifteen years old and needed an update. But it's been working great with the wifi box at home! And I've been using it quite a bit.
I just paid $280 to get my drivers license un-suspended. A while back, two years ago, when we first moved up to Syracuse, I was making runs back and forth from Syracuse to Long Island. Its 270 miles each way and I was doing it a few times a week. One day while drive down to Long Island, I was speeding and got pulled over. This was at like 4am, I was leaving early to try and avoid traffic on my 5 hour journey each way. Fortunately for me, the officer was nice enough not to write me for speeding but for failure to change my address. Unfortunate for me, I completely forgot about the ticket. It was printed out of a machine, like a credit card receipt. I know I must have put it down and then because it looked like a credit card receipt I just tossed it. I went on the NY DMV website to request a new license and found out my license was suspended. Thankfully I never got pulled over all the time I was driving.
Yikes! You need to get yourself a bulletin board or something. That could've ended rather badly, instead of just expensively.
I'm actually pretty good about things like this. At this hectic time I was not, yeah it was pretty foolish of me. I should have made it more of a priority. That was the first time I've been pulled over in years, like 15. I'm not really much of a speeder, normally. On highways I usually try to keep it between 4 to 6 MPH over the speed limit. What happen here is, it was 4am and I was tired and this was the second time I was making this trip that week. A guy past me going very fast, I was doing like 4 MPH over at the time. I thought I could use him as my "radar detector." I could speed up and if he jammed on his break, I would know there was a cop. Well I did just that, he passed the area I was pulled over in and the cop didn't pull him over and did me. I haven't had a speeding ticket in over 30 years. You live and you learn, right?
