Your Latest Gas And Electric Bill

I don't know, exactly. I could look up the bills, but I'm feeling lazy right now. I check the price comparison sites every few years and last time I did that I found that I'm on one of the best deals for my area/consumption so I don't really check the quarter-to-quarter detail too closely. I use what I use, you know?

I do know that I'm on a tariff that gives me Airmiles based on a sliding scale of how much my bill is. Since I just recently got back from a holiday in Mauritius, the flights of which were wholly paid by Airmiles, I say: "more cold snaps soon please"!

$180 while keeping the air at 65. It was $140 the month before while using the portable heaters. I'm really screwed either way unless I want to freeze.

Me and the Mrs have decided we're going out tomorrow to buy a Halogen heater. They heat up instantly and can direct heat straight to a person rather than having to warm up the entire house using central heating. Also with the heat being directed it wont need to be on too long.
Sure they say electric heating is more expensive but I don't think they take other factors into consideration like the difference in how long the heater would need to be on compared to the central heating.
We're not using Gas again except to warm the water for a bath or shower. All heating will be done via the halogen heater.

I've been reading reviews about the heater I'm getting. Everyone is saying it's saved them lots of money on the heating bills and it's so bright when on that you don't even need to turn any lights on. An added bonus, ha.
