I just say just to go with the flow. Its canon now since its on screen. So sorry to be blunt captain, but its canon and we gotta deal with it.

Indeed. And this movie drew in more fans so those that will reject it based on the notion that canon is somehow "gone", well, those are the kinds of fans that Trek can do without.
