I've probably seen it over the years a hundred times, and I've never been bored by it.
I own a copy of Star Trek: The Motion Picture on VHS, laserdisc, DVD, blu-ray, and UHD.
I've got a nearly complete archive of script drafts and revisions - many of them production-used, going back to the initial outlines for In Thy Image. Hell, I managed to snag Stephen Collins' own original script a few years ago (thankfully not from him directly).
I've gone to multiple archival collections in Los Angeles to research the making of the film over the years, including Robert Wise, DeForest Kelley, and Paramount's.
I've got the novelization, the photostory, several versions of the soundtrack album on vinyl and CD, multiple books on the making of the film.
I so dearly love Star Trek: The Motion Picture that I simply will not and cannot acknowledge the haters. There is no comparison.
