
Soooo, we had a thread on this last November, it ran ten pages, and maybe five of those posts were from those who'd actually seen it. Now that it's Netflixable, I figured it could be time for another.
Myself, I enjoyed the hell out of it - the unrated version, mind. It was absurdly wacky enough to be memorable, but, just as importantly, the characters took their plight seriously enough for the story to maintain its interest. The whole cast is great, Franco in particular is hilarious, Portman is wicked hot, and the action and visuals were rather higher-quality than I was expecting. It's certainly not a classic for all ages like The Princess Bride, but those who enjoyed Tropic Thunder and dig the conceit of a high fantasy movie in which everyone is swearing a blue streak will probably be entertained.
