My favourite is All Good Things... I thinkit was really cool how they had 3 storylines in 3 time periods, which all interconnected in the end.

This is a tough call. Finally landed on Unification, but I'm still not sure about the call. I could have easily chose another. Time's Arrow is a guilty pleasure, and Chain of Command was great. As a matter of fact, out of all of the two parters, the only one that I don't feel was all that great was Birthright. Now to be fair, the only thing that kept BOBW out of the vote for me was the fact that Part II doesn't quite live up to Part I.

For me it's got to be All Good Things - one of the best series finales ever - but BOBW and Time's Arrow (yes, really) aren't far behind. The only two in that list which don't do it for me are Birthright and Gambit.

All good things for me! The creation of the anomaly was sketchy, but I think it had the most heart of any of the series finales.

I love CHAIN OF COMMAND, mainly for Jellicoe, but the lack of a big fx scene payoff with the shuttle mine stuff is a big hurt on it.

So I'm going GAMBIT, because I like space pirate stuff, and cuz it feels like TOS to me.

Ideally THE CHASE would have been a 2 parter or the first TNG feature, and that would have been my easy winner.

Of course, I voted for Best of Both Worlds. Unfortunately, this poll only allows you to choose one, so, for the record, I also enjoy the following two-parters almost as much, in this order: . . . All Good Things, Redemption, and Chain of Command. However, I find Time's Arrow and Descent just dreadful. -- RR

One area TNG was clearly behind the other shows was with its two-parters. Non of them are very good. "Chain of Command" was probably the best of them, though.

And I agree with trevanian, The Chase would have made a great two parter, or yes, even a film.

Well, of course it's Best of Both Worlds, however, I have other 2 parters that I really like. I enjoy Gambit a great deal. It really feels like a very different style of episode for TNG, and I wish we''d seen more of Picard getting into scrapes and him and Riker working together. AGT is a good episode, too, but not one that I watch that much. I also really enjoy Descent. I think that Lore and the Borg together are over-egging the pudding a bit, but I still enjoy the episodes because they are such a romp and you can watch them with your brain switched off.

BOBW for me. I found out what a cliffhanger was the hard way. And there was no interwebs and other spoiler leaking sources back then.

Definitely 'Best of Both Worlds' partly because it was fantastic to watch, but also because it has had such major implications for the rest of the trek universe - Locutus is still relevant in Before Dishonour which is the most up to date book I've read.:techman:

:wtf: Are...you...serious? Voyager was mostly forced and badly contrived, let alone its two-part episodes.

I had a hard time choosing because I think some of TNG's two parters are among the best episodes the show has to offer. I finally decided on All Good Things because you couldn't ask for a better finale for a great show. It's very close between that and BOBW, which is among the best of all Star Trek episodes, ever.

I didn't vote for Chain of Command because the episodes are, I feel, significant, excellent episodes, but not easy viewing. They aren't a couple of episodes I'd slip in the player to watch, but they are damn fine.

Of course I had to vote BoBW. AGT and 'Chain of Command' are the immediate runners-up.

That would have been pretty cool, IMO.
