Your favourite TV show ever?

Ever?

Ever?

Well, for sheer imagination, drama and entertainment value, I pick

The Twilight Zone

The proportion of good & great episodes is amazingly high, isn't it?

Favorites on right now:

The Walking Dead, Dexter, Breaking Bad, Archer, Sons of Anarchy and surprisingly The Clone Wars is pretty good. But that's a pretty short list, so I hope the coming pilot season is better than this year's...

The Twilight Zone

I hope you're talking about the original. Unlike Star Trek, the remakes of Twilight Zone just weren't as good. The 1985-1988 series did have a few good episodes, but the 2002 version was so bad I didn't even finish the pilot episode.

Farscape

My top three though:

Farscape
TNG
DS9

Currently, my favorite shows are:

Glee
Parks and Recreation
30 Rock

Doctor Who I think now qualifies, surpassing several other shows that held that title for a while.

As far as the show I consider to be the BEST TV show ever, that award goes to The Prisoner.

I can't pick just one, but I can break it down!

Scifi - Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
Scifi/Non-Trek - Quantum Leap
Cop Drama - Law & Order: Criminal Intent/Homicide: Life on the Street/Life (tie)
Comedy - Cheers/Night Court/Frasier (tie)
HBO Original - True Blood (its not tv. its HBO)
SyFy Original - Battlestar Galactica
Foreign - Doctor Who/Torchwood (tie)

These are the shows that, if I find 'em in reruns, I watch 'em. And I used to have a few of 'em on DVD, too.

Hmmmm....
Sci-fi wise it's a toss up between Babylon 5 and Doctor Who.

Non sci-fi is Arrested Development.

Six Feet Under, just ahead of Hill Street Blues, Blakes 7, Babylon 5, Farscape, classic Doctor Who, Yes Minister / Prime Minister, The Good Life, As Time Goes By, and a few others.

I completely forgot about The Twilight Zone. I don't think I'd pick it as my favorite, but it's certainly a candidate for one of the best all-time.

SyFy Original - Battlestar Galactica

That's cheating! :p

Well yes, I could list all the shows that I really really like - but let's face it, in terms of the amount of time, effort and thought I've devoted to it - not to mention a vast whack of my disposable income - there can only ever be one answer:

Doctor Who

And yes, I agree, it really is the best thing ever.

I always mean the original. Nothing beats a black-and-white drama introduced by Rod Serling. The remakes didn't even come close.
