Your favourite Starfleet uniform?

Definitely the monster maroon. I own a few hand tailored maroons using original, screen used pieces for reference. I do wear them to anything Star Trek or cosplay. Quite comfortable to be in them all day. I do agree with many posts here about them being a bit of over kill for everyday use. Maybe a dress down jacket with the turtle neck and flared pants. I always like the jacket Sulu wore in the motion picture when Kirk first popped onto the bridge. Something like that in red though with US Army dress blue style officer shoulder boards with your Starfleet rank embroidered on them and your division color as the background. The worst IMHO are the motion picture uniforms minus Admiral Kirk's white and grey get up and TNG season 1-3. To me, they look like crappy onesie pajamas with a few pieces of jewelry stuck to them. The original series and the white dress uniforms in Nemesis are my next favorite.

The maroons for me too but without the turtlenecks...like Castillo wears it.Although the pants tucked into the boots look awful.

I'd say TOS, Wrath of Khan, TNG season 3 onward, and my own custom version of the uniform.

TOS is classic and looks like a good, simple, shipboard working uniform. I wasn't fond of the satin/silk dress uniform with triangle medals on it though.
Wrath of Khan uniforms looked like a proper military uniform and were very detailed. I just liked them overall. The Ent-C version without the turtleneck just looked weird.
The TNG first uniform was not so great, but the season 3 onward version was good to me, as a simple and elegant uniform. I just wished they had a unified admiral uniform that didn't change so much, and a dress uniform that wasn't really a dress (did they wear tights the first few times in that uniform??).

The ST09 universe, I do like that they have a shipboard uniform and dress uniform that calls back to TMP, making the motion picture uniforms look actually decent.

I wish your custom existed!

I'm gonna change my answer and put the DS9/FC uniforms at the top. They've grown on me considerably. At first I thought they looked a bit uncomfortable but looking at them now, and realizing that the turtleneck is not as thick as I once thought it was, they look quite snug. And on a starship or space station that is, in my head-canon, kept at a relatively cool temperature, it'd probably be appropriate.

The TWOK-TUC uniforms feel most militaristic and least-technicolor, though TNG brought back the colors - which are admittedly iconic...

TNG 87-94 had the best uniform tailored angles, very nicely stylized... near-tie with the TWOK uniforms.

The TNG movies/latter DS9 did look more militaristic... but not a patch on the maroon ensemble...

The DS9/VOY/GEN outfits were so-so...

Never cared for ENT or DSC...

TMP pajamas left nothing to the imagination. Which can be a good or bad thing depending on your point of view...

I admit I have a soft spot for the look of the early TNG spandex onesies, even though by any means of functionality or reason they're a fucking nightmare. Overall, I think my favourite is the VOY/early DS9 one.

But is it just my imagination or is the fit even looser than before on VOY? I first attributed that to 90s fashion, but late TNG/early DS9 uniforms have a pretty loose fit too. I just can't get rid of the feeling it's more extreme on VOY.

It depends on who's uniform it is. Tuvok seems to like his clothes baggy. B"elanna has an almost flair like pant legs, which I think look good. The rest seem fairly form fitting. I know Chakotay and Paris's actors had to wear a girdlet. Mulgrew had to wear something similar until she refused to.

I think the early TNG uniforms looked really good on certain people, like that girl in Engineering in Q-Who.

STAR TREK 1966
Command Avocado Green (NOT GOLD OR YELLOW) duty uniform
The green wraparound tunic, the green tunic with the ranks of the shoulders, and the green dress uniform

Science Blue duty uniform
The medical short sleeve tunic
and the Blue Dress uniform

Operations Red duty uniform
The Red transporter outfit
and the Red dress uniform

What comes a close 2nd, for practicality sake is TMP. Gosh I wish the color scheme was more in tuned to classic Trek--Green, Blue, & Red-- than 2001 a Space Odyssey; it would've made a huge difference IMO.

Definitely a fan of the TWOK-TUC Monster Maroons myself. SO wish they didn't screw them up in "flashback" scenes in TNG by changing/removing the undershirt.

Kirk's TMP Admiral uniform was very stylish.

The TMP uniforms would have been great if those shirts weren't so excessively long and if those box like devices in the midsection were done away with. What were those things anyway? Otherwise, the uniforms looked "futuristic" and they seemed very functional, comfortable to wear while working. It was cool that the TMP unis included short sleeve shirts.

The TWOK maroon uniforms were elegant looking, almost too elegant to be worn for everyday work. It seemed like it would have been more appropriate as a dress uniform. I liked how Kirk often had the open flap look. It just made him look more regal.

I noticed that some guest characters that appeared in TNG wore the maroon uniform jacket without the turtleneck undershirt. That just didn't look right. Was it laundry day or what? You shouldn't wear one without the other.

I reckon since we'd seen them with the turtleneck, the ones from TNG looked weird without them. But I don't think the uniform looks right without a collar, even if the collar is the turtleneck underneath.

The FC/DS9 uniform has edged out the monster maroons for me. My head-canon has that, by the 24th (and 23rd for that matter) century, technology has reached a point where clothing can adjust to temperature changes. I believe that despite it looking heavy, they are actually quite breathable. Furthermore, they can also serve as kind of a "heating blanket" if the temperature decreases. This would help crew members of various cultures adapt to a common climate on-board a ship.

Granted, they only work in moderate temperatures. Extremes in either direction require alternative clothing options.

My second favorite is the "Monster Maroon," but I have to admit, the flared pants ruin in a little for me.

I will say I am a big fan of away team uniforms, especially the ones from Star Trek II and III. I love that Discovery has a special away team uniform (the shoulder lights are brilliant! Though the Voyager arm mounted lights are good, too).
