Your favourite Starfleet uniform?

The Monster Maroons all the way. They actually look like uniforms and not pyjamases.

Second place goes to The Cage/WNMHGB ones. I like the subdued colours and the ribbed collars look like some of those woolly-pully sweaters worn today. I really hope they go with a similar look for Discovery.

Otherwise I never really liked the Trek uniforms, especially the ones in TMP (except for Kirk's Admiral's uniform) and early TNG.

Me too, although the latest behind the scenes suggests that we might be getting a modernised, more formalised version of the UESPA working blues.

As far as the Maroons v pilots uni, I have a slight preference for the latter in everyday use (based on not wearing the Maroons jacket except on formal occassions), but a combination of the "more than three" shirt colours from the Maroons and the breast insignia, universal subjued colors and rank stripes (and less bulky field jacket) from the pilots would be be the best option IMO.

The grey First Contact/Late DS9 uniforms. They looked so... professional I guess? It looks like something a futuristic space federation might actually wear. To me they just feel the most "real".

Canon uniforms: TWoK versions. They made Starfleet feel like a real stellar navy. Plenty of detail work in them, just like that on the real navy uniforms on Earth. Close to this would be the Dress Uniform in Into Darkness, as a better version of the Motion Picture, making that look like a real dress uniform. If the Motion Picture uniform hadn't been muted, and were in TOS colors, they'd have made my list.

Non-Canon: My TNG/TWoK combination, and thereafter, the female captain wraparound.

My favourite uniforms are from TMP. I love the variety they offer and the neutral colours are very pleasing. The short sleeves, the V-necks, the jumpsuits, the mix and match possibilities, where you can have a white shirt and grey pants, if you want. I really like that aesthetic, very much.
Their only flaw? They won't hide sagging boobs or cameltoe. They don't always hide how well-hung you are (and don't think the girls don't notice this). They can't hide cannonball guts. Or, if you've got a turkey neck. In short -- you've definitely got to be fit to wear these uniforms for the look to work. But The Classic Series cast was already half a century old, by this point, so ... these great uniforms came along, just a little too late.

Yeah, Monster Maroons are top on my list. The fact it gives that aura of authority without being too colorful like the TOS uniforms helps a great deal.

Though the Beyond uniforms are kind of to me a neat blend of the professionalism of the maroons and the colors of TOS that works surprisingly well which is a plus.

My opinion.

Three pages and nobody has posted the Jadzia Dax TOS uniform twirl gif? I'm so very disappointed in you all.

1) TWOK
2) Kelvinverse TOS uniforms from first two films
3) Mirror Universe Enterprise uniforms

TOS, because they don't scream out "military". They see more like people, individuals, than cogs or units. They don't seem as "suffocating" as the others too. "We're not here to dominate, but we can defend ourselves if necessary". Pyjamas? I don't run across people who wear pyjamas, seems old fashioned, but cliché pyjamas are with those little lapels, buttons... nothing like Trek. And I like a round neck.

DS9/Voy uniforms are okay in close ups, and it seems that's all they were designed for. Below the armpits, they're almost featureless black. I like black, but that's ridiculous.

Next Gen season 3 or so, 2nd.

I am going with the goth like look from section 31 ops... :)

My top uniforms:
1. Monster maroons, I adore these, so distinctive, nice and heavy and 'real' looking, with an aging-cast-suitable lack of Spandex, I just think they were a really good look, and I like the variations we saw too.
2. First Contact onwards - crisp, smart uniforms which again looked like they had more body to them, less flimsy. Could have done with some more variants, but, hey, TV budget.
3. Beyond - the more i watch this film the more I like the simple but effective uniform design for the on ship tunics. Less keen on the Starbase uniforms, as i liked the Greys from the previous two, but the duty shirts are lovely.
4. Enterprise - if you want realism in your uniforms, ENT nailed it. I don't like the show at all but nothing can take away the triumph of their costume design, blending modern military with NASA and elements of later Starfleet designs.

I have a soft spot for the original velour uniforms too - they're ridiculous by the standards I hold the others too, the truest pyjamas in space in the canon, but they are an absolute classic.

What I think:

1- Maroons (plus the U.S. Marine looking sweaters in 'cough' The Final Frontier 'cough'.

2- The most recent 24th century uniforms we're most familiar with..

3- I intended to put a picture on here, but I'm using an old iPad 3, and can't figure out how to put pics on here, so I must address the TOS episode Charlie X, where that kid wears that cool looking Starfleet jacket type thing (kind of a cross between Kirk's "undress" uniform top and Picard's cool jacket). Sorry all, my "Kung fu" is not that good tonight........

If you mean this?:

then I agree.

I actually played around with the idea of a black version of this as the "service jacket" for a variant of the Cage/WNMHGB uniform.
