Your favourite pet theories of your own

So the Time Lords can drive the TARDIS... yet, PatDoc indicates that the directional mechanism is faulty? Are there *two* guidance systems on a TARDIS, then? One for the plebs, and one for the Time Lords?

The Doctor is in England in 1963 because humans look enough like Gallifreyans for them to pass and 1963 is modern enough that there is some science and technology but old enough that no body is going to completely freak out if you don't have a photo ID with a holographic retina scan.

In fact I'd argue that they've been there for around 10 years or so. In 1953 it would be very credible to say Susan was orphaned and that all their records were wiped out in the London Blitz. Susan's been playing a teenager that whole time so they can learn about human customs. And Gallifreyans age more slowly, so she wouldn't feel completely out of place. Kind of like "dog years."

I like to think the way the Cybermen could run very fast is that they finally assimilated the Raston robot that was besting the Earthshock variations

^ Did the Raston robot ever appear anywhere else? I always thought it was really cool.

Don't know why it needed a cave full of spare ammo, since it internally generated all the ammo it used, but I guess that was just a plot device.

Didn't Kylie Minogue use them in a music video of hers? After appearing on Doctor Who too mind you.

I forget if I mentioned this one before--or something like it, but God is real. And his name is "Rassilon." The whole "ancient astronaut" thing. For whatever reason the Time Lords shape earth's development until there are animals walking around on it, developing technology, that look just like Time Lords. This could tie in with why Earth factors in on Trial of a Time Lord and why Rassilon would try to pull Gallifrey back into existence over Earth--and why the Doctor was hiding out there, and later exiled there by the Time Lords. They're sweet on Earth because it is their favorite toy.

OOH! It's been ages since I've seen "Earthshock"--or even read the novelization. :( But long story short, The Doctor is responsible for the incident that wipes out the dinosaurs, allowing humans to eventually become the dominant species. Given that the Time Lords have a history of using The Doctor as their unwitting pawn... :/

I like this theory a lot

Here's one that I randomly thought of when I was thinking how did the Master survive Planet of Fire. The Time Lords saved him at the last minute, to use him in The Five Doctors!

An old one of mine: The Master in the TV movie wasn't the real deal; just a copy of some kind, and an imperfect one (hence the accent). Doctor Doom kind of does this all the time.

Maxil is really the Sixth Doctor, working undercover for the CIA (Celestial Intervention Agency, not the US one).

That the "new humans" created in New Earth by the cat people are related to the flesh people in the episode The Rebel Flesh.. it's a story I keep hearing but where is it confirmed? I mean I love the idea too.

Boy Meets World
We know that regeneration can be achieved through non biological means in the Whoniverse. Obviously, the Matthews family had an encounter with the Doctor, in the course of which the Lily Nicksay incarnation of Morgan Matthews was gravely injured and, to save Morgan's life, the Doctor placed Morgan into the regeneration machinery in his TARDIS and Morgan regenerated into her Lindsay Ridgeway incarnation. That's why the Second Morgan talks about "the longest time out i ever had" in her first episode - it was to deal with post-regeneration trauma.

Not a theory as much a question..

All the Doctors saved Galifrey so why does he need Missy or anyone to give him the coordinates for the planet? Doesn't he know where he put it or did he wipe his own memory?

Same deal with Darrin Stephens? Dick York, Dick Sargent....any Dick will do.

Then there's Becky on Rosanne, but then she got degenerated back into the first incarnation, or she had Romana level control over her regenerations.
